Lenovo has been dishing out some great phones in various price ranges and form factors this year and has its eyes set on challenging the like of Samsung and Apple in the race for the top smartphone company in the world. The company has been the world’s premier Personal Computer maker for a couple of years now.

The Lenovo Phab Plus also has all the desired connectivity options that one can hope for in a current generation phablet. It has 4G, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. And finally, the Lenovo Phab Plus is 7.6 mm thin and weighs 220 grams. The weight seems just perfect for a phablet with a form factor of 6.8 inches.
Will this Phablet eat into Lenovo’s Tablet market share?
It is no secret that Lenovo builds a wide variety of products that include some great Tablet computers. Some skeptics believe that launching a phablet that is almost 7 inches in form factor could prove to be a bad move on Lenovo’s part as it could threaten their Tablet sales. While that concern sounds legit on paper the chances of that happening are abysmal, if at all.
A good reason to discount this concern is that Lenovo’s target audience for Tablets is drastically different when compared to its competitors. A majority of Lenovo’s latest Tablets are based around the business consumer’s needs. Lenovo’s iconic ThinkPad brand is slowly but surely evolving into a top mix-breed Tablet/Laptop computing brand. Some of the best business computers on the market right now are Lenovo’s ThinkPad Yoga series laptops.
These laptops double up as Tablets with incredible efficiency and provide consumers everything they can hope for in a Tablet or a laptop. So to assume that Lenovo’s latest phablet the Phab Plus could have a cannibalistic effect on its Tablet sales would be a wrong assumption, one that would not require many distractors to be proven wrong.
