ZTE has unveiled a new smartphone that will go on sale in China in the first week of July. This is one of the two smartphones from ZTE that have been widely awaited for some time now. While the ZTE Axon 7 may also be around the corner the ZTE Nubia Z11 is finally. Let’s explore what this phone has in store for us.
Specifications – ZTE Nubia Z11
The ZTE Nubia Z11 comes with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display that has a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This translates to a pixel density of 403 ppi. Other display features include 2.5D borderless display with Corning Gorilla glass 3, which offers protection from accidental damages.
The phone comes with a 2.15 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit 14nm processor alongside an Adreno 530 GPU. Add to this mix a 4 GB RAM and the Nubia Z11 becomes a phone capable of top performance in the Android ecosystem. The internal storage on this phone is 64 GB, which is expandable up to 200 GB using a microSD card slot. This is an extremely impressive internal storage capacity on offer from ZTE considering what some of its competitors are offering.

The primary camera on the phone is 16 megapixel and features dual-tone LED flash, IMX298 sensor, optical image stabilization, and Phase Detection Auto-focus. The secondary camera is also a good one. It is an 8 megapixel unit with 80-degree wide angle lens which ensures that the selfies you take turn out nice and clear. Everyone loves a good selfie camera and the ZTE Nubia Z11 certainly has one.
The dual-SIM phone is also 4G enabled and is a top-of-the-line communication device. The dimensions on the ZTE Nubia Z11 are 151.8 x 72.3 x 7.5 mm and it weighs 162 grams. To say that a phone is overweight maybe stretching it a bit too far but certainly one has come to expect the weight of phones relative to their form factors. Going by that relative figure the ZTE Nubia Z11 does seem to carry a bit more fat than most other phones which share its form factor.
The battery capacity on the Nubia Z11 is 3000 mAh. This is pretty much the standard battery capacity on mid to high range smartphones but I feel it could receive a boost now that battery tech on smartphones is improving. Compared to the rest of the specifications on the Nubia Z11 the battery capacity does seem a bit on the lower side. Having said that it is still a pretty good battery. It also supports Quick Charge 3.0.
The phone also has a fingerprint sensor to boot. The Nubia Z11 is powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. However, it uses ZTE’s very own nubia UI 4.0, which is the user interface of choice on ZTE smartphones.
The ZTE Nubia Z11 will also have a variant that will boast of a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage space. That will mean that ZTE would have 2 smartphones in its portfolio with 6 GB RAM specifications. Very few brands can currently lay a claim to that. Just goes to show that even as a smartphone brand if you are willing to treat technological advances as something that’s good for the future then you will be among the first ones to capitalize on them in the form of a product.
