Apple launched two of its much awaited phones this year with iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus but with only limited colour variation. The phones this year were launched in Black and Jet Black colours but now according to new reports the company is soon to launch the phone next year even in Red casing. It was reported by Macotakara that successor variant will be available in Red colour from next year. The current colour variants available for the phones are Rose Gold, Jet Black, Black and Gold.
New upgrades for the Red Casing Variant
As per previous rumours it was thought that the new variant will be called iPhone 8 and iPhone Plus marking the 10-year anniversary of the phone. But now according to reports it will be named as iPhone 7s and iPhone 7S Plus. One of the further developments that is expected from the new variant is an upgrade in the hardware with inclusive of more powerful A11 chipset. However the new variant is not expected to have a wireless charging or glass casing shift.
Expected Variants in the coming year
According to an report by KGI Apple is expected to launch three variants in 2017 and one of the them is Red coloured iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus. Another is expected to be iPhone 8 premium variant and with this launch Apple marks its 10th anniversary. iPhone 8 is expected to see lot of upgrades that include bezel less curved OLED display, optical fingerprint sensor, glass casing and ditching of home button. The inclusion of wireless charging in the upcoming three variants of the phones can still not be commented on. As per Kuo, KGI Analyst the phones will come with wireless charging adapters but only for the premium models but for the base models it needs to be purchased as extra accessory.
Conclusion
It is evident that most of the people are waiting for the premium variants of the phone in the coming year. There are some features which will be only premium variant specific like OLED display that will be part of only premium variant due to its shortage. The base models however are expected to have LCD panels. As of now however there is no word of confirmation by Apple and thus we need to take all of this with pinch of salt. The red casing for iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus is also yet to be confirmed.
