Tango Smartphone Lenovo Phab 2 Pro now launched in India

There was lot of speculation about Tango smartphone and finally India gets its first Tango Smart phone – Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, with its launch in India. The phone has been launched in India at a price of Rs 29,990 as announced the Lenovo on 19th January. The phone will be available for sale in India only through its online partner and e-commerce giant Flipkart.

Specification of the phone

• It is powered by 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC processor with Tango and runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

• It sports a display screen of 6.4 inch QHD IPS display and has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels for better clarity.

• One of the major selling point is integration of four camera is the device with – front camera of 8-megapixel, rear camera of 16-megapixel, infrared camera with depth sensing with imager and emitter and a camera with motion tracking feature.

• The Lenovo phone packs a internal memory of 4GB RAM along with an storage of 64GB ROM that can be expanded by 128GB in microSD card.

Tango and other features

The phone is the first product that is launched in market with the Tango and it enhances the machine vision of the phone. It enables motion tracking, area learning and gives a perfect insight of camera features. The tango features offers augmented reality application in terms of games, search and others. It has all great connectivity features like 4G support for blazing fast internet speed, bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc and supports a battery of capacity 4050mAh that gives near about 15 hours of battery life along with quick charging. It has powerful sound technology with inclusion of the Dolby Atmos audio along with DolbY Audio 5.1 capture technology that enables recording of 3D sound.

Conclusion

It is the first phone launched in India with Tango and calls for a great AR based device. It is sold only via Flipkart and from 20th January onwards, the sale of the phone starts. During the launch, Director of Marketing, Lenovo India said – “With the introduction of Phab 2 Pro, a first-of-its-kind device in its category, Lenovo aims to revolutionise the way smartphones are used. We believe that the Phab 2 Pro is truly a game-changer that will seamlessly integrate into varied lifestyles.” It is the first smartphone with Tango that is commercially available and is launched only in Champagne Gold Colour.
