“DTEK50” The New Android Smart Phone Launched by BlackBerry

BlackBerry has launched its second Android based Smart Phone “BlackBerry DTEK50” on Tuesday. According to BlackBerry this Smart Phone is not just an Android Smartphone as it has BB Convenience Key, BB Widgets, BB Device Search, Instant Actions, Gesture Control, Smart Keyboard and BB Hub Tool in it. By launching this device, BlackBerry is looking to get the market reputation which the firm has some years ago.

• This is the Second Android Phone from BlackBerry.

• Pre-Orders for this Device are started in 8 Countries and it will be delivered from August 8.

• The Smart Phone will cost $299 or around Rs 20000.

BlackBerry claims that this is world’s safest Smart Phone because it will alert the device user whenever anyone uses Camera, Microphone, and Smart Phone’s Location from a remote location. There is news that BlackBerry is not using company’s own hardware and this device is just a re-branded version of Alcatel Idol 4 Smart Phone because this new Smart Phone from BlackBerry has almost similar design as well as similar specifications of the Alcatel Smart Phone.

BlackBerry also claimed that this device is the slimmest from this company although it is 7.4 mm thick. In this device BlackBerry has completely removed the Physical Qwerty Keypad. This 147 x 72.5 x 7.4 mm measured and 135 grams weighted Smart Phone has Blue-tooth, Wifi, NFC Connectivity, GPS Support, 3G/4G Network Support in it.
