Flipkart offers Self branded Chargers and USB Cables via its newly launched SmartBuy

Flipkart launched its own Flipkart Smartbuy on 9th December, 2016 and it was announced via a mail sent to users. Flipkart mentioned in the mail that via its Smartbuy many exclusive products of superior quality will be available to customers at very less price. The Smartbuy Store by Flipkart has introduced small ranges of self branded products like data cables and chargers but the mail clearly shows pictures of Bluetooth speaker, headphones which probably will soon be added to the list.

Current products available through SmartBuy

The Smartbuy by Flipkart have been recently launched and there are currently only limited products available for purchase. At present one can find self branded Micro-USB cables and chargers. The service is quite similar to Amazon Basics but the micro-USB chargers on Flipkart Smartbuy are much cheaper. According to the pictures of products the quality seem to be good but we cannot yet say until have used it. The products offered are at really at low price.

Flipkart and its other self brands

Flipkart is one of the largest e-commerce site in India and has built many private labels in recent years. Before launch of Smartbuy two years back it also launched its own home appliances and personal healthcare brand called Citron. Apart from that in terms of Apparel it also has a brand called Flipped and for electronics it has brand called Digiflip. On making a comparison between DigiFlip and Smartbuy both of them are sort of similar but the former sells accessories like power banks, laptop speakers & bags etc. But Flipkart also confirmed that Digiflip is now no longer available and thus things sold through Digiflip will most likely be sold through the newly launched Flipkart Smartbuy.

Conclusion

It is no secret that Flipkart has many personal brands for electronics, apparels etc and the idea of Smartbuy is very similar to Amazon Basics. The products available at Amazon Basics are of superior quality and thus it is expected same of Smartbuy. However it was also seen that in case of Amazon the products are slightly more expensive than Smartbuy. Amazon Basics sells many products that includes self branded cables, speakers, bags etc. With the introduction of Smartbuy via mails to user the sale of certain items is expected to be high due to the lower price things offered at.
