HMD Global’s Android Phone is to be Nokia 6 powered by Android 7.0, 16-Megapixels

Nokia soon to launch Nokia 6 which is to be its first branded Android phones and the name of the phone has been officially announced by HMD Global. The new Android powered Nokia phone Nokia 6 is to fall in mid budget range with Android 7.0 Nougat. The features are good but still may fall short on sales due to already existing phones from Android. It otherwise may also be a tough competition to other phones.

Specifications of the phone

• The phone is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat which is latest from the house of Android and will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC processor for excellent performance.

• It is expected to flaunt full HD display screen of screen size 5.5 inch and will be protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass.

• The Nokia phone boasts of a rear camera of 16-megapixel along with PDAF, auto focus, dual tone flash along with front camera of 8-megapixel.

• The phone may have an inbuilt memory of 4GB RAM along with an internal memory of 64GB ROM that probably can be expanded.

Announcement about the phone

The release of the branded Nokia phone Nokia 6 was announced by HMD Global that now owns Nokia. There were rumours of the phone being launched during MWC few months back but the actual announcement was done without much pomp and show. The phone however will not be launched in all international markets and guess will keep potential customers waiting for their set of Android Nokia phone until launch. The Nokia 6 currently will be available only in China.

The phone will be unibody designed using 6000 series aluminium and would include many features apart from great connectivity. The phone has fingerprint scanner on its home button and includes features like Dolby Atmos tech along with dual amplifier for great sound effect. As of now there is not much details revealed on its software specifications but as mentioned by HMD Global the phone is expected to bring lot of freshness in terms of Android market. The phone is expected to be available only in China at CNY 1699 via JD.com by early 2017. As of now the company has not mentioned any plans of launching the phone is any other countries apart from China but it sure marks starting of great Android based Nokia phones.
