Battery of 1960mAh and 2GB RAM revealed by iPhone 7 Teardown

iPhone 7 is round the corners and expected to be launched in India in October but there is lot of speculation about the latest technology beast. Chipworks presents the latest iPhone 7 teardown which reveals presence of better and greater specifications for the latest from house of Apple. Teardown recently revealed the all the new iPhone 7 is expected to have 2GB LPDDR4 RAM and will be backed by a battery capacity of 1960mAh. There is progressive work still under play with iPhone 7 but greater RAM and battery is confirmed. The 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM is manufactured by Samsung.

Highlights of iPhone 7:

• iPhone 7 is powered by the latest iOS 10 OS that supports smooth application run, Siri support and has an completely integrated keyboard.

• The 4.7 inch display screen calls for enhanced visuals and the resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels boost clarity of the device.

Significant Changes:

There is no doubt that iPhone 7 is launching itself with greater specifications and the announcement of increase in RAM and battery capacity is a power boost. Teardown reveals the major changes and its is humungous in comparison to iPhone 6s which has battery capacity of only 1715mAh and iPhone 6 has battery capacity of 1810mAh. Chipworks Teardown found two storage suppliers for iPhone 7 that includes SK Hynix and Toshiba producing 128GB storage chip. An Intel PMB9943 Baseband processor was also found by Chipworks and makes the iPhone 7 different from iPhone 7 Plus.

Conclusion:

The launch of iPhone 7 is awaited in India and component description by both Chipworks teardown and iFixit is slightly different. iFixit’s teardown also takes care of build and repair make it more stronger as information centre. The dust and water resistant properties of iPhone 7 is found to stay intact and is to include rubber gaskets for lightning connector. Despite all the speculation and feature reveal, the iPhone 7 is the most awaited phone and there is massive change in specifications for the phone. The battery and RAM is one part revealed but remaining are yet to be unveiled.
