Hints of Moto X found in CCC, Is the supposedly finished series making a return?

It was a clear assumption after the Lenovo took over the Motorola franchise that for their own flagship devices marketing and promotions, Lenovo will do away with the Moto X series to launch its Moto Z devices!
However some confirmed existence hints of the Moto X Play (2016) were found on the tech site, Geekbench.
The listing there also reveals some of its details and specifications as well.
The Moto X Play (2016) is spotted carrying a model number of XT1662, which heavily hints as the successor model number top the last year’s Motorola’s Moto X Play (model No: XT156X).
And that same model number XT1662 has been found to be certified by China’s CCC (China Compulsory Certificate), which happens to be a government issued safety mark for Smartphones manufactured or imported in the country.
Although the listing on the CCC is not showing any kind of details as to what would the model be holding as its specifications but according to Geekbench, here are some of its found features;
MOTO X PLAY (2016) Features Found on Geekbench-
• 4.6 Inch full HD display (1080p).
• MT6755 (Helio P10) octa core processor with 2.1 GHz processing capacity and 3 GB of Ram with Mali-T860 GPU.
• 32 GB onboard memory capacity, it is still unclear whether it would have any extendable memory via Micro SD Card as yet.
• And when it comes to the photography section, the Smartphone is laced with a 16-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED Flash and a front 8-megapixel selfie camera, both of these cameras support for the 1080p video recording!
Apart from these specifications noticed, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS 802.11ac also seem to be found present, the devices was seemed to be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, 4G LTE is supposed to be there too and while there are no hints on its pricing or date of release.
Although it is assumed by the tech geeks on the internet that it may be revealed with more leaks in the coming weeks!
All in all as it was almost a given that the Moto X series was going to be diluted into the new formed Lenovo’s own Moto Z series, seeing the hints of this new supposedly Moto X Play device is a hope for the fans, and although still things unsure, buzz is certainly created!
