HTC is known for manufacturing classy phones and with this has unveiled the much awaited HTC 10 Evo that is powered by latest Android 7.0 Nougat. Another exclusive feature of the phone is it is launched without headphone jack. The phone is unveiled only in its home country Taiwan which is a global variant of the HTC Bolt exclusive for Sprint and was launched in US sometime back.

Feature Highlights of the phone

• The phone is to be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat out of box that offers amazing features like Google Duo Calling app, free unlimited storage of photos, split screen view etc.

• The phone is to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor but as per reports it is probably not working well for the phone as it is creating heating issues.

• The phone is packed with an internal memory of 3GB RAM which can be externally expanded by up to 2TB in the microSD card.

• The HTC phone has rear camera of 16-megapixel that has OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), PDAF and 4K Video recording. It also flaunts of a front camera of 8-megapixel along with screen flash.

• It boasts of QHD display screen of size 5.5 inch with screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for screen protection.

Other features of the phone

The out of box Nougat OS is to bring lot of great changes like allowing unlimited storage of photos with Google Photos app, split screen view etc. The phone has great connectivity that supports USB Type C enabled headphones after ditching of the usual headphone jack. For great audio it comes with HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio. The phone is integrated with fingerprint scanner that unlocks the device in just 0.2 seconds. It has a battery of 3200mAh for longer talktime and is backed by Qualcomm based Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging.

Conclusion

The phone is currently launched only in Taiwan and there is no news of when it will be released in rest of the international market. The phone is available from the E-store of HTC on pre-orders. There are two variants in terms of memory with the 32GB ROM costing TWD 17,990 (Rs 38,500 roughly) and the 64GB ROM variant priced at TWD 19,990 (roughly Rs 43,000). It is confirmed that the shipping of the phone in Taiwan starts from 28th November.
