India’s Cheapest 14.1-Inch Laptop ‘RDP ThinBook’ Launched

On Wednesday, IT Hardware & Mobile Device Manufacturer “RDP” launched ThinBook Convertibles, ThinBook Laptop & Gravity Tablet. As the name implies, ThinBook is an ultra slim Laptop. Firm said that ThinBook’s target audience is that person who are looking for affordable products and are new to the tech user group.

Highlights of the Product :

• The Laptop is Powered by Intel Atom Processor along with 2 GB RAM.

• RDP Claims that the Laptop Battery has life up to 8.5 Hrs.

• ThinBook is available at a price of Rs 9999 only.

RDP has launched various affordable devices for the consumers and now it has launched Laptop, dubbed as “ThinBook” in India. In an event on Wednesday, K.T. Rama Rao (IT Minister, Telangana State) launched the new Laptop and said that government will provide all possible support to the company. Microsoft India’s Priyadarshi Mohapatra (Consumer Channel Group, Country GM), Intel’s Anand Ramamoorthy (Director of Sales, Intel South Asia) were also present at the launch event.

Specifications of RDP ThinBook :

1.4 Kg Weighted Laptop has 14.1 Inch Wide HD Display Screen with 1366 x 768 Pixels Resolution & LED-backlit. Running on Windows 10 Home Edition, The Laptop has a powerful Intel Atom x5-Z8300 SoC which is paired with 2 GB RAM. RDP claims that Laptop runs for 8.5 Hrs on a full charge as it has massive 10000 mAh Li-Polimer Battery.

Price & Competition of RDP ThinBook :

The device is available at a price of Rs 9999 only. RDP claims that this is the lowest ever price for any product in this range which makes RDP ThiBook “The Most Affordable Laptop” ever. After seeing specifications and price this device seems to be a healthy competitor to iBall CompBook Excellence.

Other Products from RDP :

Apart from this new Ultra Thin as well as affordable Laptop, RDP launched few more products such as Affordable Tablet, 2-in-1 Laptop, PlugPC & ThinBook Convertible at this event. All these devices have Intel Processor along with Microsoft OS.

Company Plans For Future :

Founder as well as MD of RDP Workstations Pvt. Ltd, Mr Vikram Redlapalli said that RDP is looking to sale about 30000-40000 units of this new Laptop in this complete financial year. He is very confident that when RDP will start the production in Telangana, then the cost of products will reduce a bit more. RDP may also launch an improved version of ThinBook that was designed in Hyderabad and manufactured in Taiwan.
