Intex Aqua Power HD 4G is a Decent Budget Phone with 2 GB RAM and 3900 mAh Battery

While continuing its steady transition towards becoming a consumer durables driven company by the end of 2017, Intex has also managed to keep its smartphone focus by launching upgrades to some of their popular products in the budget phone segment. The latest addition to this growing portfolio is the Intex Aqua Power HD 4G. This new product is not to be confused with two previous products – the Intex Aqua Power HD and the Intex Aqua Power 4G. Here is a brief rundown on the specifications on this phone.

Specifications – Intex Aqua Power HD 4G

The Intex Aqua Power HD 4G comes with a 5 inch IPS display that has a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phone comes with a 1.4 GHz Quad Core processor alongside a Mali-400 GPU. The phone has a 2 GB RAM to boot.

The internal storage capacity on the Aqua Power HD 4G is 16 GB. This storage capacity can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card slot. The primary camera on the phone is 8 megapixel. The primary camera has support for LED flash and digital zoom. The secondary camera on the other hand is a 5 megapixel unit. Some other camera features include smile detection, panorama mode, face beauty, live photo mode, and voice capture.

This latest addition to the Aqua series is a dual-SIM phone and provides consumers with ample connectivity options. The most important one at that is the 4G support on offer. The predecessor to this phone, the Intex Aqua Power HD didn’t have support for 4G connectivity and therein Intex saw the opportunity to extend this series.

The dimensions on the Aqua Power HD 4G are 144×72.8×9.6 mm. The phone weighs a good 155 grams. Moving on to another key spec on this product. The battery capacity on the phone is 3900 mAh. That is indeed a very good spec for a budget smartphone. There are other brands that offer similar battery specs at twice the price of the Aqua Power HD 4G. However, Intex has managed to out do most other brands in this regard.

The New Delhi based company has been offering some really good battery specs on budget phones to the battery-conscious Indian consumers. This just goes to show Intex’s market awareness. If there is one smartphone market in the world where the battery specs really matter it is the Indian smartphone market. So kudos to Intex for checking that box time and again.

The Intex Aqua Power HD 4G comes with some pre-loaded apps. Some of the notable ones are FOTA, Matrabhasha, Intex services, Clean Master, and Saavn. Matrabhasha is Intex’s free multi-lingual app. The Aqua Power HD 4G is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, which is a bit of a surprise as Intex has already started rolling out several products in the budget and low-budget segments with the latest version of Android – Marshmallow OS.

The Intex Aqua Power HD 4G will be available in 3 colour variants. These colours are Grey, Champagne, and Blue. All three colours are very much in accordance with the Aqua series colours that Intex usually offers.
