Intex recently introduced a new smartphone to its Cloud series and this one looks and feels better than some other smartphones from the same series. The New Delhi based company launched the Intex Cloud Flash earlier this month.

Here’s a quick glance at the specifications on the Intex Cloud Flash.

Specifications – Intex Cloud Flash

The Intex Cloud Flash has a 5-inch HD AMOLED display. The phone boasts of an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor alongside a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card slot. This is a dual Micro-SIM phone that supports 4G connectivity. When it comes to camera units, the Intex Cloud Flash has a 13 megapixel rear and a 5 megapixel front camera. The phone also has a decent battery unit of 2300 mAh.

The Intex Cloud Flash is powered by the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and sports a protective glass finish at the back.

Who is the Intex Cloud Flash competing against?

The Intex Cloud Flash is priced a very reasonable Rs. 7,999. While that’s a good price point for a device with such specifications, it could also prove to be a tough ask for the new Cloud series smartphone. For this price the phone will go up against one of the best selling smartphones of 2015 – the Lenovo K3 Note.

The Lenovo K3 Note may be priced a tad higher than the Intex Cloud Flash but given the fact that Lenovo has much more consumer focus and the K3 Note itself has been a sensational success, the Cloud Flash will do well to compete.

Intex Cloud Flash

Here at iSpyPrice the Lenovo K3 Note has been one of the most popular phones. Even in December, 2015, the K3 Note has so far been the third most popular smartphone on our website. This goes to show that the phone is still a much sought after device in its price range. While we cannot predict how the Intex Cloud Flash will fare in the long run, we will not be surprised if Intex decides to slash the price of the Cloud Flash in the near future.

Other phones from the Intex Cloud Series

Intex offers a good number of choices through its Cloud series. Some of them are: Intex Cloud Swift, Intex Cloud Pace, Intex Cloud Y4, among others. Interestingly, there is another smartphone in this series called the Intex Cloud Power+, which has specs pretty close to those on the Intex Cloud Flash, but it is priced at Rs. 7,499.

The Intex Cloud Power+ mobile actually has a much better battery unit than the Cloud Flash – 4000 mAh. This is subtle hint that with the launch of the Intex Cloud Flash, Intex wanted to introduce a better design to rival that of its competitors. It already had the specs to rival the same competitors.

This is another reason why we are expecting the price of the Intex Cloud Flash to be slashed. This will make it a more competitively priced phone than it currently is. If that happens, there is a realistic chance that the price of the Intex Cloud Power+ will see a slight variation, most likely the price could go down by Rs. 500, or thereabouts. Intex wouldn’t want to offer a better designed phone with similar specs priced the same as what could be a more lucrative option for the battery-driven Indian consumer mentality.
