Kodak to start shipping Ektra DSLR Like Camera from 9th December onwards

Kodak is one of the oldest camera based company but it is also evident that the latest launch of Kodak IM5 smartphone was not very successful. This did not stop the company from trying to release another phone named Kodak Ektra in the market. The smartphone from house of Kodak is expected to have DSLR like camera features and is set to be launched on 9th December in Germany. It is manufactured licensing Kodak’s IP by Bullitt group which is an UK based company.
Feature Highlights of the phone
• The Kodak Ektra phone is expected to be powered by 2.3GHz Helio X20 Deca-Core Processor for superior performance.
• It is coupled with an internal memory of 3GB RAM along with an inbuilt memory of 32GB ROM that can be expanded on microSD card.
• It comes with full HD display screen with size of 5-inch along with screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and shows a pixel density of 441ppi.
• It has a rear camera of 21-megapixel with fast focus, optical image stabilisation, f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash, PDAF etc.
Other features of the smartphone
The front camera is of 13-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF. The major highlight is DSLR like feature that includes portrait, manual, smart auto, Night time, HDR, Video chats, advanced manual mode allowing exposure adjustment, ISO, white balance, shutter speed etc. The smartphone is packed with 3000mAh offering great talktime. The phone also supports Type C charging. One of other exclusive feature of the phone is its preloaded app called Print that enables one to order physical picture copies. The phone comes with inbuilt widget recommending Prisma or Adobe Lightroom like apps but Snapseed is the default app in the phone.

The Kodak phones is another attempt by Kodak after the failure of its previous launch and the phone is expected to be launched In Germany on 9th December at EUR 499 (approx Rs 36,000). The smartphone will be made available for sale on online giants like Amazon, Media Markt, Ringfoto, Kodakphones.com, Saturn and Notebooksbillinger.de. As per reports the smartphone will be made available for sale from January 16th via Deutsche Telekom. As of now there is no information about the launch of the smartphone is any other international location. The phone is to have a protruding rear sensor along with metal ring around the lens for protection.
