Samsung has almost recovered from the recall of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and its unexpected withdrawing from the market but now is preparing for its next upcoming flagship mobile. The next phone that Samsung is rumoured to be working on is the Galaxy S8 but according to few reports it is said that Samsung have delayed the launch of Galaxy S8. After the disastrous failure of Galaxy Note 7, Samsung decided to wait for a while before launching the flagship phone in the market. It was reported earlier the Samsung is expected to unveil Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017 in Barcelona on 26th February.
Samsung to wait before launch
Samsung probably dropped the idea of unveiling the SamsungĀ phone during MWC 2017 to gain back customer trust. The South Korean giant is expected to organise a separate event for launch of Galaxy S8 in April. It is also known that the company will work with many external agencies to win back customers trust before the grand launch. Ahead of the launch of Galaxy S8 Samsung asked the agencies to put up comprehensive plans for launch and winning customer trust.
Galaxy S8 may be priced high
According to few reports it is tipped that Samsung Galaxy S8 may be available at higher price than the current Galaxy S7 series. As predicted by Goldman Sachs the flagship phone may see a price rise of around 15 to 20%. The price hike will be witnessed due to hike in the price of raw material. There are some reports also about expected specification that include fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone. According to recent reports the phone may also see an optical fingerprint scanner. The scanner may allow high res scanning via 1mm of glass but without button. But there are also reports stating that Samsung may get rid of home button or even if it is present it may not feature fingerprint scanner.
Conclusion
As of now there is no solid news that can be confirmed unless Samsung officially make any announcement. However according to reports Samsung might delay launch of Galaxy S8. It is also reported that Samsung may ditch 3.5 mm audio jack on smartphones and may comes with USB Type-C Port. It may also come with 3.5mm headphone to USB Type C adapter. However we can be confirmed about all these when Samsung comes in front to make an official announcement.
