Leaked Image of Moto G5 Plus similar to leaked image of Moto X (2017)

Recently there was a smartphone placed on a Romanian Website for sale that was allegedly considered to be Moto G5 Plus but later it was removed from the site. The phone was rumoured to be Moto G5 Plus and had similarity with of Moto X(2017) that was leaked via images and also through a video last year in the month of December. Although the image has been put down but according to the listing the phone might be available from March onwards.

Information on Romanian Website

It is indeed true that the alleged Moto G5 Plus image on the Romanian Website had striking similarity with leaked images of Moto X (2017). As per the information on the website the phone will be available from March onwards and it is expected that parent company Lenovo might make some announcement about the launch soon. The Romanian website put up the phone for sale at RON 1,650 (around Rs 26,500). As confirmed by Android Police the phone that was up on the list bear engineering marks and might be the prototype of the model.

Specification leaks of the Motorola phone

As claimed by 9 to 5 Google report the phone is expected to be powered by Octa core Snapdragon 625 processor and is to be packed with inbuilt memory of 4GB RAM. The phone might feature a full HD display screen with a screen size of 5.5 inch. The phone may have an internal storage of 32GB ROM. In terms of battery it is expected to have a battery of size 3080 mAh. Coming to the optics part it is expected to sport a rear camera of 13-megapixel along with front camera of 5 – megapixel. In terms of charging as per the image it doesn’t have the magnetic pins at back of Moto Mod support and use USB port for charging.

Conclusion

The image was similar to Moto X and has been now removed from the Romanian site arises lot of questions. As per the image it might have circular camera panel as seen on leaked image. The phone as per rumours might be unveiled for first time in March. It possibly will be a budget phone. Moto X series might lack the Moto Mod support but as promised by Lenovo it is possible that only Moto Z series come with support for modular accessories.
