The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro – “World’s First Tango Smartphone” gets delayed

It is quite clear that the first ever Google Tango Smartphone called The Lenovo Phab 2 pro is now delayed. This was a very ambitious attempt to create a unique and first ever try to jam in a Smartphone with an sensible understanding of the environment around it, as it uses Project tango machine’s vision technologies.

Lenovo announced it in June then said that the Smartphone will hit the retailer’s shops by September. The Chinese Technological Company has very silently extended the available dates of the Smartphone from the ‘summer’ to ‘fall’ season of the year. That now hints a release a launch date of somewhere in October.

The company will only release this new experimental project in those Asian Pacific Markets where they had already made sales with its Smartphone before, as told to Ausdroid, these countries will be Indonesia, Philippines, Laos, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Myanmar; where an October launch is planned.

No news of the release in other regions.

Lenovo released Phab 2 Pro on the rate of $499 (34,000 INR approx) and was supposed to be out in the August of this year.

Lenovo told us that Phab 2 Pro is the first of its kind Smartphone that has 3 varrying environment detection technologies – motion tracking, depth perception and area learning.

As one could recall, the Project Tango is a campaign of Google which wants to create a Smartphone using a machine’s quality to sense its nearby surroundings by using the digital area and vision learning techs. This was later dropped to the name of only “Tango”.

And now about the features in it, Phab 2 pro comes with a 6.4 mega screen Display with full HD support and a QHD IPS display technology. Its powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, tagged with a 4 GB of RAM. It has a whopping 4050 mAh battery, which is supposed to deliver a 15 hours long battery life by Lenovo’s claims.

The Cameras in this Smartphone are the inside-y caramel that hold every goody of this new technology, they have area learning and depth sensing. There are like four different cameras in Phab 2 Pro, an 8 MP front Camera and a 16 MP rear RGB camera, an infra red camera that senses depths that is also equipped with an emitter and an imager and finally a motion sensing camera!

The Phab 2 Pro records 360 degree and videos of 4K quality too. Plus there is a finger print scanner in the rear too!

The Smartphone also packs in a Dolby Audio 5.1 Capture Technology to record sounds in 3D. the first ever camera that in this Smart device which can record 360 degree videos along with Dolby 5.1 Stereo capturing. Lenovo said a set of 25 apps pre loaded in the Phab 2 Pro Store!
