This dual sim phone has the familiar capacitive touchscreen and supports 4G connectivity. Considering the fact that Motorola was one of the very first brands to take 4G connectivity seriously, it is not surprising that almost all of their latest phones are 4G enabled. As far as the connectivity is concerned the Moto G4 is not just 4G enabled but it also has VoLTE support.

The Motorola Moto G4 weighs 155 grams and has the following dimensions – 153 x 76.6 x 9.8 mm. The battery capacity of this phone is 3000 mAh. While that is not a bad battery configuration, one certainly expects a lot more from the likes of Motorola. The price segment in which the Motorola Moto G4 is currently bracketed has a plethora of phones that offer better battery specifications than the Motorola Moto G4. So there is no reason why Motorola could not have done better.

This phone is powered by the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Despite Lenovo’s decision do not continue with the iconic Motorola brand, motorola continues to receive certain privileges like being one of the very first smartphone brands to get an update to their Android OS, when google releases it.

How does the Motorola Moto G4 stack up against the competition?

The Motorola Moto G4 is up against some stiff competition. Perhaps two of its closest competitors are the LeEco Le 2 and the Huawei Honor 5C. While the Honor 5C and the Moto G4 both have similar specifications, the Moto G4 has a 5.5 inch display compared to the 5.2 inch display on the Honor 5C. Also, the Honor 5C supports the Hisilicon Kirin processor while Motorola refers the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which is clearly an industry favorite. Having said that there is a big difference between the prices of the two phones. The Honor 5C is definitely priced lower.

However, Motorola Moto G4’s biggest competition is perhaps a new comer which has made a big impact this year. LeEco has emerged as a worthy competitor to most smartphone brands in the market today. The LeEco Le 2 trumps Moto G4 on multiple instances. The LeEco Le 2 has better camera specifications, more internal storage capacity, and an advanced Snapdragon processor. Perhaps the biggest win for the LeEco Le 2 is its price. LeEco’s competitive pricing is certainly winning them a few battles, this is one of them.
