Xiaomi has been in new for its upcoming launch Xiaomi Mi 6 and as per rumours is expected to be launched in two variants. The phones was expected to be unveiled during MWC 2017, Barcelona but lately it was confirmed by the company that it will not be launched during the event. As per the latest leaks the phone premium variants of the flagship model is expected to sport ceramic body, similar to Xiaomi Mi MIX.
Specification of the phone
The phone is expected to be launched in three major variants – with one of them powered by MediaTek Helio X30 processor and rest two with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor ( one of the is the premium one). One of the variants is expected to have an inbuilt memory of 6GB RAM and rest two with 4GB RAM. The Xiaomi phones are expected to sport a rear camera of 12-megapixel with Sony IMX362 sensor. The internal storage capacity of the phone will be both 128GB ROM and 256GB. The phones are reported to run on Android 7.0 Nougat along with packing a battery of 3000mAh capacity.
Launch Information of the phone
Xiaomi has cleared the air that the phones will not be unveiled during MWC 2017. There might be a reason of postponing the launch. The Snapdargon 835 chipset is first expected to be integrated and launched with Samsung S8 followed by LG phones. So, launching the Xiaomi Mi 6 during MWC 2017 would be launching the phones with older chipset. This probably might be the reason for delayed launch and the launch of the phones are expected to be after launch of Samsung S8 and LG G6 – maybe in March or April.

The premium variants of the phone as per reports by MyDrivers say the phone is likely to sport ceramic body with dual edged curved screen. There will be difference in launch price of all the three variants – MediaTek processor variant is expected to be launched at CNY 1,999 (around Rs 19,800) and the other with Snapdragon at CNY 2,499 (around Rs 24,800). However, the premium version of the phone that flaunts dual edged curved screen is to be launched at CNY 2,999 (around Rs 29,800) and likely to be named Mi 6 Pro. The phones are expected to be launched sometime in the first quarter of 2017.
