Samsung launched Samsung W2017 flip phone with Snapdragon 820 SoC

Samsung launched last year W2016 flip phone in China in November and it was loved by the customers heavily due to its sparse popularity. This year Samsung has now announced successor of the phone named Samsung W2017 which is an Android based flip phone with dual display and highly secured fingerprint scanner.

• It is powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and runs on superior Quad core Snapdragon 820 Soc with 2.1GHz clocked 2 cores and 1.6GHz clocked two cores.

• It boast of inbuilt memory of 4GB RAM along with an internal memory of 64GB ROM that is expanded by up to 256GB in microSD card.

• It sports a rear camera of 12-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture, flash support, 4K recording etc and also has a selfie clicker of 5-megapixel with f/1.9 aperture.

• It comes with a full HD display screen of 4.2 inch with AMOLED display and resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels for enhanced clarity.

The Samsung phone has hybrid dual SIM connectivity and has great connectivity that include 4G LTE connection for blazing fast internet, Bluetooth v4.1 for instant data transfer, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac compatibility for faster internet connection and it also has a slot for Micro-USB. It is backed by a battery capacity of 2300mAh that gives up to 64 hours of standby time. It is light in weight and weighs only 208gms and comes with always on display. The exclusive feature of the phone is its dual display. The phone is also compatible with fast wireless charging. It is equipped with multiple sensors that include heart rate sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer and barometer.

As of now the price of the phone is not declared officially by the company but looking at the features and style it display rumours say it will cost one a lot of money. As per rumours and suggested by Sammobile the smartphone is expected to cost around CNY 20,000 (around Rs 1.97 lakh). There is no confirmation as of now about the same but if true will cost double the previous W2016. The W2016 premium flip phone was launched at a price of CNY 9,999 (Approximately Rs 98,700) in China and was a expensive product to consider.
