The haywired uproar that not long ago was constructed by the Ringing Bells with its Smartphone pricing of 251 INR, not much time has passed since then that yet another company called the ChampOne has come down in the market to compete with this unbelievable pricing of Smartphones territory.
So what is it actually some cheap publicity stunt or what actually?
So this brand new commercial Smartphone Manufacturing Company has listed down a Smartphone called ChampOne C1 on its website that has price of 7,999/- INR tagged to it. Hmm, okay, the company is supposed to be releasing this product with its initial flash sale rates of 501 INR only on September 2, for which you can register now, well kind of.
The company website look really shabby even if we had to be showing mercy to it for its efforts and we are, and the button of registering yourself is inactive, there is a disclaimer notice that says that there are difficulties related with payment gateways and the button might not work for another 24 hours or so.
But seeing their own notice that the payments will be done on COD system then we don’t know why even bother with the gateway system, some say that it’s to get a registration fee that is very fishy in itself indeed.
The company that is located in Jodhpur has given a toll free no to contact them, with two more supportive contacts, every call we made went unanswered and one of them was off all the while we tried!
These trend seem to wash away the united minds of the masses with such exclusive and cool promises of a cheap and effective Smartphones only later to be turned into a scam of sorts, the first culprit for this was of course The Ringing bells and although they have finally started to deliver the devices, others are just fiddler’s flute.
It is our duty to advise all our readers to be alert and 10,000 miles away from such offers that seem too great to be real!
These brands have no pre-earned values or goodwill to lose and so they don’t bother with even furnishing their ‘offers’.
Whatever the case may be the ChampOne features Android 5.1 Lollipop with dual SIM support, a 5 inch full HD screen display of 720×1280 pixels IPS.
Powered by 1.3 GHz Media Tek MT6735 quad core processors and a RAM of 2GB.
With an inbuilt storage capacity of 16 GB its optics include an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front one. There is a 2500 mAh battery in here too and the connections are like 4G LTE support.
The colors available are Silver, White and Gold.
Of course at this point we are heavily reminded of the mayhem that happened with the Ringing Bells Incident that rings the bells now, the company said that it was backed up by the government and the Make in India campaign, later it backed away from these claims and said that it merely asked the government for support in their venture.
The Ringing Bells has also been accused of defrauding the customer service partners that supports their business by not paying their due fees.
And after much hiatus and uproar the company finally decided that it will refund all the money and accept cash only on delivery, releasing all of its 30,000 Freedom 251 registers.
Another such incident although more grisly in nature was when mPhone announced its six Smartphones that ranged from 11,999/- INR to 39,999/- INR and what happened there was that their founders were arrested at the launch for some alleged fraudulent crimes.
And we have not heard from them since that time.
And then there was Docoss X1 that was launched by the Jaipur located company for mere price of 888/- INR, their website was also fishy as remora and their customer care was also…vague at best.
It was to begin its venture in May but nothing yet so far!
The final countdown-
– A Flash Sale is supposed to be on September 2
– The pre registering system shall be inactive for 24 hrs approx, claims site
– Its Cash on Delivery (CoD) system
