On Tuesday, Apple has reported its last quarter’s earnings and also said that the iPhone’s sales were just higher than the firm expected. The Company announced that 40.4 Million iPhone Devices were sold in the April-June quarter which is 15% lower than last year’s quarter but a bit higher than the average analysis of 40.02 million.
Highlights :
• iPhone SE’s Demand & Supply Mismatched Last Quarter (April-June).
• Company now has managed to achieve the balance in supply and demand.
• iPhone SE is not Cannibalizing Sales of Other Products : Says Apple.
iPhone SE is the newest product in the Apple family. According to Tim Cook the Supply of SE was not up to the Demand which means many SE devices are sold by Apple in this quarter. This announcement from Tim Cook suggests that in this total sale SE played a vital role as it was launched in March this year.
Apple really took a risk by launching a Smart Phone which has only 4 Inch Display as now users like to enjoy everything on a larger screen. Tim Cook also said that the firm will make a complete balance in the demand and supply of SE while entering the September quarter.
Specifications of iPhone SE :
The Smart Phone has amazing Design and Display. It has amazing Battery Life and Primary Camera but the Front Camera is not that good in quality. It has 16 GB Internal Storage. It has 4 Inch Display Screen. This Smart Phone has a price of $399 but it has many similar features which was there in iPhone 6S. It has High Speed Processor, Touch ID Finger Print Sensor, Apple Pay and Latest Wifi.
Apart from its small screen size, The device has all amazing features which Apple always offers. The smaller screen size took the prices down thus iPhone SE attracted a large number of customers as compared with other Apple Devices. SE attracted larger number of customers in a week of its launch if compared with any other iPhone.
The launch of smaller and cheaper Smart Phone along with decrements in sale of high-end iPhones took average sale price of iPhone at $595 or Rs 40000. Conclusion is that the iPhone SE got pretty much more popularity than Apple expected and it effected sale of High-end Apple Devices.
