Xiaomi is all set to launch its all new flagship Xiaomi Mi Note 2 on 25th October at an event in Beijing starting at 11.30am. There has been lot of speculation and rumours about the phone with leaks about its specifications as well as about its price but now the company have confirmed its launch. With the confirmation about the launch the company also confirmed it will sport a curved or dual edge display. This Friday in a Tweet Xiaomi Confirmed that Mi Note will feature curve to impress and also to feature a two-sided dual curves.
Feature Highlights of the phone
• The phone will be powered by snapdragon 821 SoC with 64-bit architecture that gives superior performance and operation. The phone is powered by Android Marshmallow.
• It will sport a 5.7 inch Super Amoled full HD display screen along with pressure sensitive technology and will have a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.
• The phone is to sport a dual rear camera sensor with 23-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX318 sensor and rear 12-megapixel camera with SonyIMX378 sensor. It is also to sport a front facing camera of 8-megapixel.
• The Xiaomi phone is expected to be launched in two variants in terms of storage with 4GB RAM/64GB ROM and 6GB RAM/128GB ROM.

There was a major leak expected to be from a Xiaomi presentation last week regarding its specifications and price. The leak tipped that the phone will sport a dual rear camera set up and have iris scanner. The phone will feature dual SIM slots supporting Nano SIM and is compatible with 4G VoLTE connectivity for blazing fast internet speed, support Bluetooth 4.1 for instant data transfer, support Wi-Fi 802.11 ac for fast internet connection, support NFC, GPS and Type – C USB connectivity. The phone is backed by a battery support of 4100mAh along with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Conclusion
Right now Xiaomi has confirmed that the phone will be launched in Beijing on 25th October but its launch in any other international markets has not yet been disclosed. The 4GB/64GB ROM is expected to be priced at CNY 2,799(Rs 27,800) and the 6GB RAM/128GB ROM storage variant is expected to cost CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs 29,800). There is so far no information and news about its launch in India.
