Xiaomi phone Redmi Note 5 seen on US FCC, specifications & features tipped

There has been lot of talks and leaks about the upcoming phone from Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and it was recently seen on certification site US FCC. Redmi Note 4 was launched after lot of delay in August last year with 4100mAh battery along with Helio X20 SoC processor. Recently the latest from Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 also passed the certification from US FCC and is a hint that the phone might be launched anytime. There have also been leaks about the features, specifications and expected price of the phone.

Feature Highlights of the phone

• The phone is expected to be powered by 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 Octa core SoC processor or maybe by 2.1 GHz MediaTek Helio x25 deca-core SoC. The phone is expected to run on Android 7.1 Nougat.

• The phone may sport full-HD display screen with screen size of 5.5 inch and is backed by Corning Glass 4 protection.

• The phone is expected to have a 4GB RAM along with internal memory of 32GB ROM or 64GB ROM storage variants. The storage can also be further expanded by up to 128GB in microSD card.

• The Xiaomi phone is expected to have a rear camera of 16-megapixel along with a front camera of 8-megapixel.

Other features and connectivity

The phone has cleared the certification process and many of its features have been also revealed. The phone has a battery capacity of 4000mAh and also supports Quick Charge 3.0 for rapid charging. The phone supports VoLTE for blazing fast internet speed, compatible with Wi-Fi 802.11, bluetooth for rapid data share, supports GPS and USB Type-C port.

Conclusion

The specifications and price of the phone are already revealed. There will be two variants of the phone with the 32GB ROM variant available for Rs 10,999 and 64GB ROM variant available for Rs 12,999. The certification of the phone was done by US FCC as first seen by The Leaker. There are three colour variants expected to be launched which are black, gold and silver. The phone may be unveiled in summer only in China and will be later launched in other international markets. The Redmi Note 4X also was seen on TENAA indicating its launch soon. In case of Redmi Note 4 the phone will be launch in India on January 19th.
