ZTE has stepped up its smartphone game and has come up with a product that is definitely its very best ever and would even qualify as one of the best Android phones around. Here is brief look at the specifications on the new ZTE Axon 7.
Specifications – ZTE Axon 7
The ZTE Axon 7 comes with a 5.5 inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The display is protected by 2.5D curved glass display and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 technology. The ZTE Axon 7 is one of the latest breed of high-end Android phones that come with the Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. This is of course complemented very well by the Adreno 530 GPU.
The Axon 7 is available in 2 variants, the first comes with a 4 GB RAM and the second a 6 GB RAM. Both are indeed extremely powerful variants and will do well on the performance scale any day compared to another Android phone. The internal storage on the first variant is 64 GB while the internal storage on the second one is 128 GB. This storage capacity is expandable up to 128 GB using a microSD card slot.

Other than great RAM and processor specs the Axon 7 has great news for photography enthusiasts. The phone comes with a 20 megapixel primary camera with dual LED flash and HD video recording. The secondary camera is an 8 megapixel unit. Other camera features include PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), geo-tagging, face detection, and HDR. This is not only a delightful product to own for selfie enthusiasts but 20 megapixels and some of the most advanced camera tech going around make it the perfect device for people who want to stream live videos or record stuff for YouTube.
The ZTE Axon 7 has other features such as dual SIM functionality and 4G support that are now standard on most modern smartphones. The phone weighs 185 grams. While this is still pretty light, there are several other smartphones with a similar form factor that weigh up to 30 grams less so in pure tech terms this would qualify as slightly heavy, nothing that you can’t carry around in your pockets though.

The battery capacity on the ZTE Axon 7 is 3250 mAh, which is pretty good and it does support Quick Charge 3.0. The phone is powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and it uses the company’s very own MiFavor UI 4.0 to allow users to experience a slightly different interface than the usual Android interface.
Another important bit about the ZTE Axon 7 is that it is the first phone to support Google Daydream VR, which is kind of a big deal because Google itself has admitted that most current generation high-end phones will not support Daydream VR. Another good reason to prefer the ZTE Axon 7 over other high-end phones, I reckon.
Has ZTE finally arrived thanks to the Axon 7
ZTE has produced some pretty good phones previously but as I noted a little earlier in this piece, this is ZTE’s best offering till date. The company has more than one USP going for it in this product. The 6 GB RAM variant is a spectacular plus, but so is the fact that the phone uses the latest Snapdragon 820 processor and comes with a 20 megapixel primary camera with some advance camera features to boot.
The success of this product will largely decide whether ZTE is finally able to make a global impact or whether this marvel of a product meets low-key response owing to the company usually below par advertising efforts.
