One such company in the Bsnl that has manufactured some very neat and high performance tablets. These tablets are compared against Micromax Tablets and HCL Tablets. They are stylish and have really fast processors and have good battery time.
The Penta IS703C was released in June 2012 which is when tablets started trending in the earnest.
Features & Specifications
The tablet has a 1 GHz cortex processor running with an Android Operating System. The operating system version is 4.0 which is not new but still is a good operating system known as the Ice-Cream Sandwich which allows many applications to run on the tab and give a smooth performance.
The tablet has a 0.3 MP camera. The tablet is 3G enabled in addition to WI-FI and also has a long battery time.
Design and Quality
The tablet has a very low weight of 370 grams with a size of 7 inch and a resolution of 800 x 480p with capacitive touch screen and a multi touch system and G-Sensors.
The dimensions of the tablet are 192.8 x 117.28 x 12.53 mm which makes it slightly wide and it is square in shape which is why it is not easy to carry.
It comes only in black color.
OS and Tech
The OS used is Android version 4.0 Ice-Cream Sandwich which is not the latest version but still good enough. The processor is single core 1GHz Cortex-A8 which is very fast processor.
The table has many applications which are pre installed like Facebook, twitter, angry birds, Skype, YouTube, chrome etc and if you want to download other applications you can download them from Google play store.
The tablet does not contain internal 3G or 2G you need dongle to use 3G or 2G. it has Wi-Fi, USB Port, mini USB and HDMI Port Through HDMI port you can easily connect it with the HDTV and watch 1080p Movies and videos.
Camera and Multimedia
The camera of the tablet is very low 0.3 MP with a digital zoom but still good enough to take good pictures as the camera is low there is no flash but has a Smile detection, Scenes, Continuous Shooting and Multi Shot features.
You can record videos with Full HD at 30 Frames per Second.
It contains software which allows music video streaming of several formats. There are photos and documents viewers. It has also speakers with 3.5mm jack.
Battery and Memory
The internal storage capacity of tablet is 8GB with a 1GB DDR3 RAM and by using MicroSD card you can extend it up to 32GB. This is a plenty of memory for you to play games, running multiple applications and enjoying it.
The battery is 4000 mAh Li-Polymer Battery which can give you 4 to6 Hours easily with WIFI using 5 hours of video playback and up to 10 hours of music.

Verdict
The Micromax Funbook Infinity P275 is a good competitor of IS703c as compared to screen size and some other features but Micromax has a 4 GB internal memory which is a lot less. Micromax does not support SIM and has a processor with half the frequency but it has a camera.
The other Penta T-Pad series tablets are better than this one just as well. But other than the comparison within the companies own tablet series’ there is another tablet that users might prefer over this one.
The HCL ME U1 has been compared to Bsnl Penta IS703C as well but it was not considered a better choice again due to lower battery, built-in memory and lack of SIM support.
The ratings and reviews for the tablet are good because at the time of production and since then due to the economical cost and its features it was considered the best choice among competing tablets. Users may find it their money’s worth after all.
