Ubislate 7C+ combines the amazing features and power of Android in a single device. With good build quality and decent processing power the tablet can be used to deal with the daily productive and entertainment requirements of the users.  The device is intended to be for a targeted audience who have budget constrains but are looking for a quality device. The device combines some exceptional features that can be a great selling point for it to attract customers.

Design

Datawind Ubislate 7C+ has a very simple design. This is perhaps the weakest area of the device. It has very glossy plastic and fails to integrate a sense of quality in the device. The front of the device contains the 7 Inch screen and is intended to be held in landscape mode. The device has very thick bezels on sides that makes it very difficult to use with one hand. The front of the device does not contain much other than the screen. The mic is located at the top if held in a straight position. While the camera is located at the top right corner of the device.

The back is simple and does not contain very much. The back contains a large logo in the center with dual speakers located at the bottom right of the device. The volume rocker and power button are located at the top edge.  The bottom edge contains the SD card slot.  The Micro USB connector and Audio jack are located at the right edge. Combined together there are no exceptional design choices in the device. The device lacks flow when it comes to the design. But despite these shortcomings the device performs well.

Features and Specifications

The device contains the basic 1GHZ Cortex – A8 processor and 512 MB of RAM. Considering the specs of the device it is only intended for basic tasks and average gaming. The device cannot handle the heavy games due to its low capacity GPU. But when it comes to the browsing internet and playing videos the device performs exceptionally well. The display on the device is not full HD but is able to generate bright representation due to the LCD display. The users can also enjoy 4 GB of internal storage that could be expanded using Micro-SD card if the situation dictates it. The screen is capable of handling four point touch simultaneously.

The device also contains features such as Sim support to enable the users to remain connected 24/7. The device does not support 3G connectivity but using a Dongle the users can experience the high speed internet through 3G. Overall the device contains quality basic features that help it to perform well in day to day tasks.

Ubislate 7C+ runs on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. The older OS is a very good merge with the lesser processing capability of the device. Overall the device packs a stock android experience with very few changes to the main software. The older OS compared with the decent specs create a smooth and enjoyable experience. The device has trouble dealing with heavy games due to the lower RAM and single core processor.

The device contains a single camera that is capable of taking image at .3MP. The camera is low in quality and is able to take average photos. The device struggles in the low light and fails to capture any details due to the absence of Flash. Overall the camera does not perform exceptionally well but provide the users with a handy feature that they can use.

Ubi Slate 7C+ does only a few things and does them very nicely. The device is capable of good performance without any issues when it comes to browsing the internet and being productive through the day. The competition includes BSNL Penta and Zen Ultratab A700.
