FEATURES AND SPECIFICATION:
It is a dual SIM device which supports 2G and 3G with calling facility which gives it an edge ahead of its competitors. It is equipped with a capacitive touchscreen which is 7.00 inches in size with a resolution of 1024 X 600 pixels and 16M color depth.
The tab has a 1.2GHz dual core processor (Cortex A9) and a RAM of 1 GB to handle multiple applications simultaneously.
DESIGN AND QUALITY:
Though it is a budget Tab, the Tablet has a rich look with gunmetal grey finished aluminum back panel surrounded by matte finished plastic which reduces slipperiness of metal and provides a firm grip. The rear panel possesses both the SIM and MicroSD card slots. Towards the bottom are the micro USB port, MIC and the Reset button. The 2 MP camera is housed in the top left corner and does not have a flash. This LAVA tab has a simple yet elegant look with curved edges. The BIG screen and the color resolution make this tab a real good catch. This phone is available only in SILVER color.
OS AND TECH:
This tab works on the Android 4.2 (Jellybean) Operating system, supported by JAVA. The tab also has a 1.2 GHz MEDIATEK dual core processor and a RAM of 1 GB DDR3 of which 600 MB is available to user. The RAM is quite adequate and processor is good too.
CAMERA AND MULTIMEDIA:
The Camera is 2.0 Megapixel and has the facility of zoom. It does not have a flash. It is suitable for good quality daytime photography. The front camera is of 0.3 Megapixel, just enough for video calling.
The graphics is managed by Power VRSGX531 ultra GPU which supports all types of video formats making it suitable for a good movie watching and gaming experience.
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for a satisfactory sound quality. It has also teamed up with Hungama – App for Bollywood music.
It is also loaded with an FM-radio, another nice-to-have feature.
BATTERY AND MEMORY:
The battery is of 2800 mAh and is not removable. For 7 inch Tablet this battery proves inadequate as even smart phones come with 3000mAh batteries. This means more frequent trips to the charging point.
The tab has a 4 GB internal memory and an expandable microSD memory card slot upto 32 GB.

CONS:
1. Camera is poorly equipped.
2. Poor battery life.
3. No protection for SIM and Memory card slot.
VERDICT:
The large screen and the color depth make it a useful phone for gaming addicts and movie buffs. Also due to its lighter weight and calling facility it can replace your primary phone (if you do not mind a bulky device).
But, from the point of view of the battery life and camera utility, this tab fails to live upto the expectations. If LAVA had provided the tab with a better battery and a quad core process it would have been tough to beat.
