The HTC Desire X is usually known to be a predecessor to the HTC Desire C. However, this model can be most directly compared to HTC One V, as the Desire X is almost a direct duplicate. The main difference between the One V and the Desire X is the design.
Features and Specifications
The screen of this phone offers a pleasant user experience. It is a 4 inch Super LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. While the resolution is lacking, the Super LCD screen assures less glare, less power usage, and better visibility. The touchscreen is capacitive.
This phone supports both 2G and 3G networks. It supports dual SIM (GSM + GSM). As far as connectivity is concerned, tethering can be enabled via USB and Wi-Fi hotspot. There is GPS support with Google Maps, Wi-Fi, Micro USB 2, and Bluetooth.
Many additional features come bundled with the HTC Desire X such as predictive text input, 25GB of Dropbox storage, TBD radio, MMS, a VPN, HTC Car, Voice Input, and more.
Design and Quality
The design of this phone is top-notch; it ranks up there with some high-end phones. While it does not feature any premium metal parts, it has a very aesthetically pleasing polycarbonate exterior.
This phone comes in white, black, and “Prussian Blue” for high levels of personalization. Overall, the design is quite sporty, and will certainly draw some attention.
OS and Tech
This device comes with Android 4, or Ice Cream Sandwich. However, this can be upgraded to 4.1, Jelly Bean. Although this isn’t a deal breaker, you will not be able to experience the newer Android functionality.
The phone has an operating frequency of GMS – 850, 900, 1800, 1900; UMTP – 2100. It is powered by a 1 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Scorpion and an Adreno 203 graphical processor. This will offer a smooth experience for gaming, video playback, and other relatively stressful tasks.
Camera and Multimedia
The rear camera on this phone is 5MP and has a LED flash. The camera comes with many handy features such as auto focus, continuous shot, geo-tagging, pinch-to-zoom, and an image editorBSI sensor, multi-shot. The camera itself has a F2.0 Aperture and a 28mm lens.

Battery and Memory
With a 1650 mAh battery, this phone drains out quite quickly. Although it is rated at 20 hours on 2G and 10 hours on 3G, most customers have complaints about the battery. This should not be a deal breaker however, as it will last through the day without issue.
Internal storage is 4GB, which is reasonable, but it can be expanded to 32GB with a microSD card; this is fantastic for individuals with big multimedia collections. The phone has 768MB of RAM, which will suit even moderately heavy multitasking situations.

This phone is for people who don’t want to dish out Rs 35,000 for a stylish phone. It will handle quite strenuous applications with relative ease. The connectivity features make this phone very functional and useful. Although the battery could be a little bit annoying, performance and a sleek profile come at a cost.
