Xolo has always been known for its knack of bringing out newer innovative approaches to the smartphone industry. This was proved true when back in 2012, it launched the first smartphone with an Intel powered SoC. Since then, the brand has launched many smartphone, making endeavours with various industry leaders in the process and giving us some spectacular handsets. The Xolo X910 is an Android smartphone also powered by an Intel Chipset.

The Xolo X910 supports Dual SIM and the size of the screen is 4.3 inches, made with IPS LCD Capacitive technology offering 16M colors. The qHD screen offers a resolution of 540x960 pixels, at 256 ppi and also supports multi-touch. OS used in the handset is Androidv4.0.4 IceCreamSandwich and the processor powering the handset is a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2460 with hyper threading technology. The RAM has a decent 1GB capacity, while the internal memory on-board the smartphone is 4GB but can be further expanded to 32GB with the help of a Micro-SD card. The Primary rear camera is a 5MP shooter with an LED flash that can also record videos in Full HD. There is also a secondary VGA camera in the front for the occasional video chatting and IM. The battery life here is 2000mAh and has got all connectivity and multimedia features to flaunt.

Design and Quality

Coming to the design, the smartphone is quite premium and looks quite good. It is rather compact too and fits quite naturally into the hands, making it quite easy to hold the device. There is aluminium trim going around the edges that adds to the overall looks of the phone. The back has a hard plastic covering but is also a fingerprint magnet. The volume control is present at the right side of the phone while the power button is located at the right side. The microphone and the charger port are at the bottom, for a hassle free access.

OS and Tech

The device is powered by Android v4.0.4 IceCreamSandwich which, when considering the specifications of the device provides flawless performance and a lag-free Interface, at the same time opening up possibilities for multitasking.

Camera and Multimedia

The Xolo X910 comes with a 5 MP primary shooter with an LED flash. The camera supports autofocus and has many capture modes like HDR, panorama and geotagging. The Rear camera also supports recording videos at 1080p Full HD, while the front 0.3 MP camera is to provide for the better benefits of 3G on the phone like Video Calling and IM. The High speed HSDPA and HSUPA internet connectivity backs for the all-round multimedia features of the phone including FM Radio.

Battery and Memory

The battery providing juice to the Xolo X910 is a Lithium-ion 2000mAh battery.  The battery provides about 20 hours of life when moderately used, which is okay. The 400MHz GPU unit with the phone is pretty impressive and along with the chipset and the RAM allows for an immersive gaming experience. There is a 4GB internal memory available with the phone, but the device can be further expanded with the help of a Micro-SD card suiting the needs of the users looking for large storage.

Launched in early 2013, the phone packed some snappy and captivating features, which impress till now. But, being a few generations old, it may face serious competition from other smartphones like Karbonn Titanium MachTwo S360 and Intex Aqua i5 Octa, which pack some of the latest features to stand out from the rest in this competitive business. In the long run, the Xolo X910, despite being a stunning phone in its own right, lags behind its modern day rivals.
