The Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex has launched a new product in the market with affordable market value. Intex Aqua i5 packs in power and good looks and is offered in the budget friendly segment. The target consumers of the product include service professionals and college students. The company is optimistic about the scope of the product and is giving all out efforts to promote its range of phones in the Indian markets.

Features and specifications

Intex Aqua i5 is another release in the list of smartphone offered by Intex. The company has recently launched a series of good number of budget smartphones recently.Aqua i5 packs in good looks and is quite powerful considering the price range it’s released within. The phone packs in a 5 inch display and is 8mm thick. It comes with a custom UI and is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad core Mediatek MT 6589 processor. It is definitely a strong contender considering its price and the features it comes with.

Design and quality

The glossy color finishing of the smartphone involves a decent look and at the same time makes it vulnerable to smudges and fingerprints. The 5 inches IPS capacitive touchscreen of the device allows clear visibility of individual pixels through experienced eyes. The qHD display resolution of 960 x 540 pixels supports sharp quality pictures with color density of 126K.The reproduction of colors and black levels are quite low but the maximum brightness of the device makes it appropriate to use in bright light of the sun quite conveniently. The touching sensitivity of this smartphone is quite accurate and the functioning of feather touch keys is quite decent. Hence for web browsing or gaming users caneasily tweak the touch buttons to obtain the required performance.  The volume rocker is placed on the right side of the device and opposite is the power/ lock button. The smartphone is powered by PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and 1.2 GHz Quad core Mediatek MT 6589 processor. The performance of the processor is quite decent but it comes under lot of pressure while downloading games in HD format. This can be evident when the smartphones becomes quite warm within few minutes of usage. The camera interface is quite simple to use and sufficient customization has been done on this part.

The 2000 mAh removable Li-Ion battery of the smartphone lasts for 5 hours on normal usage and for excess usage it lasts on 168 hours.  The device comes with internal storage of 4 GB and users can only utilize up to 1.6 GB. To create more space users can insert micro-SD card to expand memory up to 32 GB.
