The HTC Desire 600 arrives with impressive functionality and multimedia performance. It is one of the earliest released dual SIM handsets from the Taiwanese multinational. Design and Quality

Desire 600 comes in two color variants, White/Silver and Black.  Front part of the device is dominated by a 4.5 inch screen and the model has a unique body color scheme. There are dual frontal stereo speakers along with built in amplifiers to listen crystal clear music. Be it music videos, movies or games, the audio quality is top notch. Chrome accents are visible on top and bottom portion where the earpiece and speaker is located. The 130g lightweight device is slim at 9.5mm with a removable back cover and decent texture which provides a nice grip. Under the hood, there are dual MicroSIM slots along with a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The 3.5 mm audio jack is located on the upper edge and volume rocker on left edge.

The device has 8MP rear camera which provides a nice photography experience and 720 x 1280 HD video recording. Camera usability is enhanced by the presence of features like continuous shoot, BSI sensor, autofocus, HTC image chip and more. Desire 600 is fitted with 1860mAH battery which provides up to 11 hours of talk time on 3G and 2G networks. It is powerful enough to ensure a standby time of 577 hours at 3G and 539 hours with 2G. The backup provided by the battery provides the right balance of productivity and performance. This HTC handset is equipped with 8 GB internal storage capacity out of which nearly 5GB is available for users. The rest is occupied by the software and other internal elements. It can be further extended to 64 GB with external microSD card support.

Verdict

The HTC Desire 600 seems to be a half hearted attempt with average specifications and overpricing. Most of the devices priced nearly Rs 27,000 come with better specs and 4G connectivity feature. Dual SIM phones come many other features which are missing in the device. It has to compete with Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy A5, Asus ZenFone 2, Xiaomi Mi 4 etc.
