Features and Specifications

This device is dual core with 512MB RAM while the size of the screen is 5-inch of having FWVGA 854x380p resolution and offers 16M colors. It has 5MP main camera with an LED light and many regular features like autofocus, HDR, geo tagging etc. The front camera is 0.3MP which is best used for the selfies and video calls. The internal storage is 4GB which can be extended further up to 32GB through microSD card. The processor is 1.2GHz dual core while the battery is 2000mAh. OS in it is Android v4.2 Jelly Beans. The connectivity options are GSM, Bluetooth, microUSB, GPS, Wi-Fi, GPRS, 3G and Edge.

Design and Quality

The 5-inch screen is considered as favorable for the domestic manufacturers of India. The display may though suffer in its performance for the internet browsing and reading but it gives full fun for the multimedia and this feature may not be liked by every user. The look and feel of the device is very nice. It is made up of plastic while the front is glass. Towards the bottom of the front screen are the three navigation keys while at the top are the front facing camera, speaker and sensor. The top of the device has the 3.5mm headset jack and the microUSB charging port. The build quality is good and it doesn’t give cheap feelings. The back of the device carries the rear camera along with an LED light while towards bottom is the major speaker grill.

OS and Tech

The device is loaded with an old OS which is Android v4.2 Jelly Beans but is given good support from the processor though the RAM is limited here. The performance of the device is not without flaws and at times the lags are also observed while the device is heavily used for the multimedia and internet surfing.

Camera and Multimedia

The cameras of the device are not interesting. The 5MP rear camera is not performing as expected but the mid-range device normally ignores the camera feature. The images produced by the rear camera are not of good quality as they carry noise in them. The videos produced by the rear camera are also of not good quality and are very shaky and jerky. The front camera works decent to some extent for the video calls and selfies. The camera feature of the device need to be upgraded little in order for the device to be accepted by masses.

Battery and Memory

2000mAh battery has been provided in this device. Majority of the mobile manufacturers provide higher than 2000mAh battery for their mid-range devices but some of them are still going with this much battery range. This much battery is not bad at all while considering the price at which this device is being offered. The device can last for 24hrs under moderate use very easily and if the screen power saving feature has been used then the battery may go a little longer of about 3-4hrs. The RAM is very limited and this may not serve its function completely due to which the performance lags are observed in the device while the internal storage is also limited to 4GB but the good thing is that it can be expanded up to 32GB through the use of microSD card.

Verdict

The device is going to be a tough competitor to some of the good local and international names like Huawei Ascend P1, Sony Xperia M both of which are having 1GB RAM while other local devices like Xolo A500s and Celkon Signature One. The device is not free of flaws but it is not bad altogether though it has little issues which if someone can compromise at then this is a good device for them.
