XOLO Q1000S Mobile Price in India
Lava International has been in the Indian market for the past 6 years and they have made a good name for their brand and sub-brands over the long span. Recently, due to the entry of the offshore mobile companies such as Xiaomi and other Chinese brands, Lava International seriously needs to up the game with their mobile releases.
Their newest brand XOLO, released in 2012 is proving a nice challenge to the other brands including the Chinese brand Xiaomi. One of the examples of their smartphone that made it to the top phone last year. The XOLO Q1000S is the smartphone we are talking about. The XOLO Q1000S is a dual-SIM smartphone that clocks at 1.2 GHz, running on a handsome MediaTek Chipset and moreover brings a lot of power to the table. The liquid memory of the smartphone is 1GB which can bottleneck the performance of the smartphone. The display is 5 inch HD display with IPS.
Let's dive deep into the features of XOLO Q1000S smartphone.
Features and Specifications
Xolo Q1000S at the time of its release was one of the best smartphones in the market. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz Cortex A7 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The whole setup runs on MediaTek MT6589T, which is powered by PowerVR SGX 544MP2 graphics card so that gamers won't get disappointed with the smartphone.
The smartphone comes with traditional accessories and supports Dual-SIM. The weakest point of the smartphone is no expandable memory. To compensate that the smartphone offers 16 GB of internal memory.
The display of XOLO Q1000S is good, featuring a 5 inch HD display capable of rendering at 720 x 1280 pixels. The display is an IPS LCD which ensures that the colors and brightness are vibrant. Overall, the display is good with a sharpness of 294 ppi.
The biggest catching point of the smartphone is its camera capabilities. The smartphone comes with dual cameras; the 5 MP front camera and the rear 13 MP camera. Both the cameras come with auto focus capabilities. The camera can also be sued to record FULL HD videos @ 30 FPS.
From the battery point of view, the smartphone offers 2500 mAh Li-Po battery that can last a long time. For heavy users, the battery can drain pretty fast.
Connectivity of the smartphone is good as it features all the standard connectivity options including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and more.
Design and Quality
The main point of the design is its high quality display. Another than that it also offers a sleek design that fits well in the hand. The front offers the camera and the speakers at the top, whereas the back offers the 13 MP camera with flash.
Both the power key and the volume rocker key are present on the left side of the smartphone. The battery is removable, which makes the design a good approach.
As, I pointed out earlier, the quality of the smartphone is awesome and matches high-end phone quality.
OS and Tech
When Lollipop is making debut in the Android market, any smartphone featuring JellyBeans is outdated. Xolo Q1000S fails in this department as it offers the JellyBeans android OS. Anyway, the OS still has a lot of features and can be used as swiftly as the latest OS offering.
On the Tech Side, the smartphone offers tons of features that make it one of the best smartphone for this price range. The quad-core processor coupled with 1GB provides enough juice to run any app without lag. Some high-end games might lag, but the device is never made for high-end gaming.
Camera and Multimedia
The camera of the smartphone is one the strongest point. It offers 13 MP main camera with autofocus and 5 MP front camera, perfect for selfie-lovers. Both the cameras support LED flash and can record HD videos @30FPS. There are tons of features supported by the camera. They are face detection, image viewer, red-eye reduction, touch to focus and more.
The multimedia capacity of the smartphone is good and supports all the major audio and video options. It supports FM radio, loudspeakers and 3.5 mm Audio jack.
Battery and Memory
The battery is impressive for the screen resolution the smartphone offers. With 2500 mAh li-Po battery, the smartphone can easily last for the whole day. For heavy users, the battery might not last long. But, for medium to heavy users, the smartphone can work wonders.
The memory of Xolo Q1000S has one serious flaw as it does not support external memory usage using microSD card. This can easily hamper the prospects of getting in far in the market.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
- Large Screen
- Powerful hardware
- Great Camera
For Cons:
- Outdated OS
- No external memory support
Verdict
Xolo Q1000S is a bit outdated in the current market, but still can compete with the likes of other smartphones in this range. Better alternatives to the smartphone are Micromax YU Yureka, Xiaomi Redmi Note, and XOLO Q2000.
