The size of the screen is 4.5-inch and is of type TFT capacitive touchscreen with resolution of 320x480p and the colors reproduction is 262K. The processor here is 1GHz dual core. The internal storage in this device is 4GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. The RAM is 512MB. The rear camera is 3.2MP with an LED light while the front one is 0.3MP to be decently used for the video calls and selfies. The OS here is Android v4.0 ice cream Sandwich while the connectivity options are FM Radio, WAP, Bluetooth, 2G, GPRS, Edge and Wi-Fi. The weight of the device is 75g and the battery is 1850mAh Li-ion. It is available in two colors white as well as black.

Design and Quality

The design of this device has nothing very special or interesting. The body of the device is cheap quality plastic while the front is all glass. Towards the bottom of the glass screen is the navigation keys for home, menu and back while towards the top is the sensor, front camera and speaker. The back of the device has the rear camera with an LED light and two tiny speaker grills. The back is removable which displays the battery and the SIM card slot as well as microSD card slot.

OS and Tech

Very basic form of Android OS has been provided to this handset. Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich though works fine but it is not free of lags and the performance can usually get deteriorated. The main role to this performance lags is also due to the limited RAM and the low power processor. There should have been little upgrade in all the three departments like RAM, OS and the processor.

Camera and Multimedia

Very basic form of camera has been provided to this device on both front and rear side. The rear camera is being good support of LED light but the performance of the camera is not different than other devices coming at same price. Under good light, the images produced by the rear camera are even not free of noise and colors depiction is also not decent. While under low light, the images lose their originality. The videos are also recorded by it but they also suffer from the same issue and the noise as well as jerkiness is observed in the videos very widely. The front camera is also very rudimentary. The performance of the front camera is also not very impressive but it works nice at times for the selfies and video calls.

Battery and Memory

Battery provided to this device is decent enough. According to the claims of the company, this battery provides 6hrs of talk time and 240hrs of standby time. This is though not very good but it is decent for a low end device but it is sure in this case that this battery will not keep the device running for 24hrs even under moderate use. So it would require to be recharged at least twice during the day if the device is used intensively. Limited RAM has been provided to it which is another reason for the lags in the performance of the device. The internal storage though is less but the 32GB of expansion is decent addition to it.

Verdict

The performance of this device is not flawless but it is a decent device. There are other good options also available in market as compared to this one like Xolo A500. If little more investment can be made by the user, further better devices can be purchased. Overall this is not a best option to spend money on.
