Huawei Ascend G700 Mobile Price List in India

Huawei launched their new phone, Ascend G700 in 2013. It is a mid range phone by the Chinese manufacturer. It comes with a very smooth interface that is very appealing. The Emotion UI by Huawei blows the competition away. Read on to know more about this stylish phone.

Features & Specifications

The screen of this phone comes with is a 5 inch capacitive display. The touchscreen is highly responsive and the 16M colors make it bright and crisp. The cameras in this handset are superb. The primary camera is an 8 MP camera while the secondary camera is a better than basic 1.3 MP camera. Like many of the mid range phones, the brain of this phone is a 1.2 GHz quad core processor by MediaTek. This processor allows you enjoy 3D gaming and HD movies at any time. The internal memory is pretty good at 8 GB and the 2 GB RAM is better than the 1 GB RAM present in many phones in this range today. The operating system is the Android Jelly Bean which is not at par with phones that come with KitKat or Lollipop. You can achieve connectivity through Wi-Fi and hotspot. The Bluetooth is the v4.0 and USB connectivity is through microUSB v2.0 at the bottom. The phone is equipped with FM radio for all the music buffs.

Design and Quality

The handset weighs about 155 grams which is not so heavy and is comfortable in the hand. The phone is slim and sleek with curved edges. The dual tone finish; the half black coupled with the half white on this phone gives it a great look. The screen is a capacitive QHD IPS LCD screen. Above it the earpiece is present and the proximity and ambient light sensors are to the left. Even though it is built of plastic, the build is solid and sturdy which is hard to beat. The volume control on the left blends well with the back shell. The audio jack is present at the top. One handed usage poses no problems.

OS and Tech

This dual SIM phone that supports both 2G and 3G and comes with the v4.2 of Android Operating System Jelly Bean. This operating system allows multitasking with great ease and the 2 GB RAM in conjunction with OS allow you to do absolutely anything. The KitKat version of Android Operating System would have been more pleasing on this phone. The Emotion User Interface is a very refreshing feature.

Camera and Multimedia

The primary camera on this phone is an 8 MP camera which comes with a pixel configuration of 3264 * 2448 pixels. The primary camera also has the LED flash and autofocus feature. The autofocus feature gives great pictures very easily and the LED flash lets you take crisp pictures in low light. It also supports geo-tagging and 1080P video recording.  The front camera is a 1.3 MP camera which allows you to take pretty good selfies and decent video calling. Multimedia is supported through formats like MIDI, AMR, AAC+, MP3 and Enhanced AAC to name a few. The video player supports all the popular formats too.

Battery and Memory

The battery is an okayish Li-Ion 2150 mAh. This battery configuration is better when compared to other phones at this price range. The 2 GB RAM and the 8 GB ROM are an upgrade to the 1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM in many of Huawei’s phones. It looks like they addressed their customers’ woes.

Verdict

The Huawei G700 has a great RAM and ROM capacity. The battery backup could have been juiced up slightly, but it is not disappointing. The cameras on this phone are pretty good and let you take nice pictures even in the dark. You can get this phone for less than 15k which not that bad a deal if you look at the features.
