Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 Mobile Price in India
Micromax has come a long way with its mid-level, user-friendly smartphones. Canvas Turbo A250 is the first full-HD smartphone by the Indian manufacturer. The launch of the phone was backed by a high-level marketing campaign by Micromax featuring Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman. This was the first phone that bought Micromax a ticket to the A-list phone manufacturers’ club. A250 sports a premium design with aluminium body. The display housing, however, is not on the same level as the display. Overall the build quality is nice to hold and tough enough to withstand minor shocks.
Features & Specifications
Turbo A250 is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and a 2 GB RAM. The device also comes with 16 GB internal storage capacity, however, the storage cannot be expanded as there is no microSD card slot. It sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with aFull HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, amounting to an effective pixel density of 441 PPI and it runs on the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Canvas Turbo comes with 13 MP main camera which allows Full HD 1080p Video Recording at 30FPS and a 5 MP front-facing camera. The camera app on the device is loaded with plenty of features and manages to capture stunning images. A non-removable Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery on the phone produces enough energy to keep the phone active for more than a day.
Design and Quality
The phone has a sleek premium aluminum body. The edge-to-edge glass, curved edges, and glossy sideson the device give it a nice look. The back panel cannot be opened and hence both sim card slots have been provided on the side which can be opened with a tray opener tool that comes with the phone kit. Unlike the market trend, the micro-USB port sits on the top and the 3.5 mm audio jack is fitted at the bottom of the device. The phone is quite slim, but at 135 grams, it could be considered heavy. The Lock/Power button is placed on the right side and the Volume Rocker is right beside it.
OS and Tech
Canvas Turbo comes with stock Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, upgradeable to Android v4.4 KitKat. This combined with 1.5GHz processor gives a lag-free phone experience for navigating through the applications. The device comes preloaded with standard applications like Google apps, image viewer and editor, audio/video player & editor etc.
Camera and Multimedia
The 13 MP main camera with auto-focus is capable of snapping good pictures and full-HD videos in MP4 format. The camera renders particularly detailed images in sunlight and comes with a flash for lowlight situations. Features such as HDR, Smile detection, panorama, scene detection and image burst with up to99 shots per click add credit to Micromax`s claim as a quality manufacturer. The front camera sports 5 MP resolution for smooth video calling and selfies.
Battery and Memory
The aluminum body on the Canvas Turbo comes with a compromise, non-user-replaceable battery. The 2000 mAh Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery easily supports the normal usage frequency of the device for more than 24 hours. A 2 GB memory is part of the elite configuration in the smartphone and ensures that the phone stays fast even while multi-tasking with dozens of applications running in the background. The 16 GB internal memory is more than enough for most users.
Pros and Cons

For Cons:
· Limited Storage
· Lack of microSD card slot
· Low battery performance

Verdict
Micromax has certainly come a long way from manufacturing feature phones to high-end smart phones. However it still lacks the grasp of the things that make smartphones, well, smart. A high resolution is not enough for a camera to produce good pictures. Specifications such as 13MP and full-HD may sound good on paper, but cameras should be able to produce nice images, an area where Turbo struggles. Even with a 1.5 GHz processor, the phone is pretty slow. Overall, the competitors such as Gionee Elife E6 and XOLO Play T1000 offer a better value for money in almost all departments against Micromax Canvas Turbo A250.
