LG Nexus 5 16GB Mobile Price in India
Nexus 5 was launched in October 2013 and it was expected that this is going to be the best of LG under Google line of Smartphone. Though it has inspired the smartphone market but still there few things that needs to be addressed before the launch of next release by LG. The Nexus 5 runs on Android v.4.4. KitKat while it also has Android 5.0 Lollipop at its horizon. The phone offers streamlined services, stylish design and surprisingly low price. Though the smartphone proved to be one of the top most smartphone of 2013 but for 2014 it is lagging behind due to few considerations.
Features and Specifications
The phone has 2.3GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip processor but in 2014 it has proved less efficient than 801 and 805 models. It has 2GB RAM and has laid much stress on the performance of camera featuring 8MP rear camera along with LED relying on Back illuminated sensor (BSI) as well as multiple many features specific to camera makes it a perfect choice like autofocus, optical image stabilization, face detection, zooming, panorama etc. The front camera is also present which is of 1.3MP. The built-in memory is 16GB which is much larger to store all required along with other software. It doesn’t support multiple SIMs but it does offer 4G connectivity giving 17hrs talk time. The display screen of the Nexus 5 is larger of 5-inch.
OS and Tech
LG Nexus runs on Android v4.4.4 KitKat giving it a boost in multiprocessing and is a feast for Android lovers. The latest technology that it supports is the Google Experience Launcher which is due to the Android 5.0 Lollipop and this helps to bring new look and new features to the phone to enhance its beauty and performance. This phone is a beautiful set and has to offer all what an Android set has to all in one pack.
Design and Quality
The set gives a wonderful experience to hold having rounded edges and very soft back. The back color comes in two flavors; red and black is made up of screen and the front is glass. The only design discrepancies are the round earpiece center top and to its left the front-facing camera. The bezels of the display are very nice and thin. The display is perfect having full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The back and the sides of the phone are soft to touch made up of matter plastic and the phone is very light weighing 130g. The lower case will carry the word “Nexus” embossed in lowercase gloss along with a little LG logo under it. At the top left corner is the 8MP camera carrying a tiny LED light below it. The bottom of the phone has a micro USB port along with two grills on either side of it. It comes only with one speaker. At the top it has 3.5mm standard headphone port and a micro hole for an extra microphone. The left side carries the volume rocker and the right side carries the ceramic power button and a SIM tray. Since the back is not removable so there is no micro SD support or battery switching. It gives quality performance even when watching long movies as it doesn’t get heat up that early, so it is easy to hold it up in hand for watching movies. The ceramic buttons make them easy to find and operate.
Camera and Multimedia
The LG Nexus 5 has two cameras, on front and back. Though the performance of camera is appreciable but it gets affected when the phone is placed at flat surface. Since there is no protection for the camera so a drop may result in scratches on it which hamper its performance. Fingerprints can also affect the performance of the camera. Apart from these issues, the overall performance of the camera both in day light and night is perfect both for still images and videos.
Battery and Memory
The smartphone provides 16/32GB internal memory which is huge enough to hold all applications required by its user. No memory extension is provided here. The battery life is where the Nexus lags behind from its competitors. The problem with it is its battery life. It gives only 17hrs talk time so the battery life should have been improved for extended use.
