Micromax has installed Android OS in their latest phone like almost all of their other handsets as well. It uses Android Jelly Bean v4.1.2 which is known for its great multitasking abilities as well as countless apps available through the Google Play Store. Jelly Bean works very well with even just 512MB of RAM and since the phone has 768RAM for Jelly Bean Android to work with; the user should be able to multitask with ease. Connectivity features on the phone are Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, Edge, GPRS and USB. While the phone has just three sensors which are Gravity sensor, Proximity Sensor and Light sensor.
Camera and Multimedia
Thankfully Micromax went with an 8MP rear camera for their Canvas Blaze MT500 mobile phone. The camera has an LED flash for taking low light and/or night photos. It can also be used to take videos and has zooming in-and-out feature enabled as well. The front camera is just VGA and can be used to take selfies and video calling although the quality will not be as high. A handsfree is bundled in with the phone which the user can use to listen to music, watch videos and listen to the radio using the built-in FM radio feature. The phone also has a nice loudspeaker which the user can also use to playback multimedia files.
Battery and Memory
An 1850mAh battery is what the Micromax Canvas Blaze MT500 uses and it manages to give 5 hours of talk time and 120 of standby time. Excessive 3G and/or WiFi usage will shave off the abovementioned times to much less. The handset has 4GB of internal memory and an option to expand the available storage using a MicroSD card which is supported up to 32GB. The 768MBof RAM is a good amount for multitasking and should prevent the phone from hanging frequently.

Verdict
Micromax Canvas Blaze MT500 has a tough challenge as its rivals the Microsoft Lumia 535 and Lava Iris Fuel 50. Both the rivals have higher specs and lower prices than the Canvas Blaze MT500. As it is the handset is decent enough if the user wants a 5inch touchscreen phone with dual sim that supports CDMA and GSM standards. In fact the phone has the leg up over the competition because of its unique dual standard support so the phone has something to offer which its rivals do not.
