Videocon A55q HD Mobile Price in India
Videocon has launched a number of devices in the smartphone segment. Most of these devices are targeted at price sensitive customers and one of them is Videocon A55q HD. It shows the competitive approach of the mobile maker. The model is giving some real hard time to rivals like Micromax, iBall, Lava and Lenovo. Videocon is taking the competition seriously which is quite visible in the way its devices have evolved. People do not have much expectation from the company, but that hasn't stopped Videocon to try its best. Efforts are always on to reach up to as many customers as possible. It would be interesting to see whether the Videocon A55q HD changes the fate of the company.
Features and specifications
Enjoy an active lifestyle with a bright 5-inch OGS (one glass solution) screen. It clocks a pixel density of 294ppi and 1280 x 720p resolution. It provides smooth touch sensitivity and the level of light transmitted from screen is also good. It also allows the user to have larger than life experiences at the control of their fingertips. The viewing angles are decent and so is the contrast. Display quality on the phone is top notch and at par with high end smartphones. A quad core processor is one the highlights which ensures a flawless multitasking performance. Users can have fun while playing games, running apps, listening to music and other activities.
Design and Quality
The overall design seems to be an inspiration from the looks of HTC Butterfly. Curved design with metal grille on two sides and glossy back panel is not something uncommon. The same can be said about the position of power button and audio jack placedon the top edge. Volume rocker is placed on the left edge of this device. Bottom part of screen has three touch buttons with varied functionalities for users. The purchasers will be getting 6 months of manufacturer warranty on this device. Back panel of the device has the main camera accompanied by LED flash. Manufacturer's logo is also is below the circular ring bordered back camera.
Tech and OS
The Videocon phone comes with 1.3 GHz quad core processor with a 1GB RAM. It runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS which provides a lot of app download options to users. They can also take advantage of the provided customization options missing in some similar priced devices. Some of the pre-installed apps include Facebook, TOI and Kingsoft office which are more than handy in situations. It is more of a calm performer that enhances the overall user experience with growing use. However, there is nothing unique, remarkable or distinguishable as in case with similar and low priced phones. Videocon should provide more to grow its portfolio of devices instead of packing the conventional elements.
Camera and Multimedia
The smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and offers a decent photographic experience. Photos clicked outdoors and low lighting conditions provide enough of detail. The sharpness decreases depending upon the lighting conditions which is again a setback. Autofocus, panorama, geo tagging, and similar editing facilities are also available. However, the video output is not on the same level as the images. It becomes really difficult at times to focus on the subject smoothly. A secondary camera provided at the front gives average performance in terms of video recording, video calling, etc. Inbuilt music player supports files such as AAC and MP3. There is a pre-installed video player which can play 3GP, MPEG4 and H.263 files without any hassle. V -Store, Hungama and Funzone are inbuilt within the phone for users. It also comes bundled with the sensors such as proximity, G-sensor and ambient light.
Battery and Storage
A battery of 2000mAh should be enough for a moderate user. This dual SIM phone allows users to accomplish their low end tasks for 12-14 hours. Web browsing, video playback, mobile internet and gaming won't require the user to plug-in the charger constantly. Thus, with overcharging or undercharging, it will keep the users entertained in more ways than one. An internal storage capacity of 4GB may not be enough at times. Thus, the users can opt for an external 32 GB micro SD card to store their choice of apps, media files, games, and relevant data for simple and hassle free access.
