Motorola Moto G 8GB Mobile Price in India
Motorola has survived long enough to be called the giants, who carried the technology from the battery eliminator to the first microprocessor that truly supported the 32 bit architecture. In the mobile world, they have also dominated the likes of Samsung and other mobile giants.
But, can they survive the tough competition as new Chinese brands keep invading the Indian Mobile Marketplace? Let's find out what Moto G holds for us.
The Moto G offers a Quad-Core 1.2 GHz, powerful processor with 1 GB of RAM. In the graphics department, the smartphone offers Adreno 305. The smartphone is a dual-SIM with microform factor. The only dent in the smartphone is no expandable memory and you might get stuck with only 8 GB of internal memory.
Let's dive deeper into the features and specifications of the Motorola Moto G.
Features and Specifications
A dual-SIM smartphone that can render the apps more beautiful than other smartphones. The Moto G offers a 4.5 inch display screen with an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a mammoth pixel density of 326 ppi. The display screen is protected with Gorilla Glass v3, which can prove vital in case of accidents.
Other features include the powerful processor, 1.2 Ghz QuadCore Snapdragon 400 running on top of Qualcomm MSM8226 Chipset. The liquid memory of the smartphone is 1GB which is slightly less.
The camera of the smartphone is also not above par. It's main camera is 5MP with LED flash support. It also supports 1.3 MP front camera which is subpar according to current standards.
The battery of the smartphone is also average, rating it around 2070 mAH, Li-on, which is sadly not removable.
Connectivity options are great and provide almost all the advanced features including GPRS, EDGE, Wi-FI and Bluetooth. The smartphone offers standard sensor options such as Light sensor, proximity sensor and Compass.
Design and Quality
The display of Motorola Moto G is the strongest part. Even with only 4.5 inch of the display screen, the quality and color density of the smartphone are amazing. It offers a 326 ppi. In design prospect, the smartphone looks and feels great, but overall the design is slightly bulky and can be not suitable for some users.
The quality of the smartphone is another great prospect to look at. As all other Motorola smartphones, Moto G's build quality is also great.
OS and Tech
The OS of the Moto G is JellyBean 4.2.2, which is slightly outdated by current standards. Even the stock phone comes with JellyBean, you can choose it to upgrade to KitKat OS. Update status of Lollipop is still not know, but we hope Motorola comes up with an update soon.
On the Tech font, the smartphone feels great, but also outdated from the current advancement and specs offered by the rivals in the Indian Marketplace. Still the 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM can work wonders for a normal user.
Camera and Multimedia
From a device that is around 14K price range, the camera is a bit of a disappointment. There are also tons of other options that provide the smartphone its glory, but the camera section is a letdown, at least for the selfie lovers. It offers 1.3 GHz front camera and 5 MP main camera with an option of auto focus.
Video recording is supported at 30 FPS and other features includes stereo sound recording, high dynamic range mode for the video recording functionalities.
There are also tons of other camera features such as Touch to focus, HDR, Image Viewer, Geo Tagging and more.
The multimedia capacity of the smartphone is good, capable of rendering all the major music and video codecs easily.
Battery and Memory
The battery of the Motorola Moto G is also a little let-down. Power of 2070 mAh battery can last a whole day for medium to heavy use, but the non-removable functionality of the smartphone can really hamper its prospects in the market.
On memory font, the smartphone also disappoints with only 8 GB of internal memory and no option to upgrade it to the further memory usage using microSD card.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
- Good Vibrant Display
- Powerful Processor
For Cons:
- Non-Removable battery
- Non-Expandable memory
- Average battery
- Bulky Design
Verdict
Moto G is sheer disappointment. With brands like Xiaomi and Yu Yureka taking over the Indian Marketplace, the smartphone cannot last much longer with this kind of specifications and crippled features that do not do justice to the Motorola brand. Even though the smartphone is old, the new Moto G versions keep to the hope of Motorola fans. Comparable smartphone to Moto G are Motorola Moto E, Nokia XL.
