LG L70 Mobile Price in India
LG has made waves recently with its LG G3 and LG Flex Smartphones and continues to do so with the release of the LG G4; a very high end Smartphone. What about consumers who prefer low end Smartphones? LG’s slogan is Life’s Good and true to its slogan it releases phones that cater to almost every segment of the market. Enter the LG L70, a dual core Smartphone boasting WVGA resolution display and dual sim capability. Priced very competitively and complete with features present in almost every low to mid range Smartphone; the LG L70 tries to break out among the low to mid range Smartphone niche enjoyed by the likes of Samsung Galaxy Core 2.
Features and Specifications
The LG L70 features a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display with capacitive touch and 16 million colors. Protected by the famous Corning Gorilla Glass 2 it aims to prevent scratches or cracks. The LG L70 is powered by a Snapdragon 200 chipset, an Adreno 302 GPU and 1.2Ghz A7 dual core processors. The RAM is 1GB with an internal memory of 4GB but includes an option for a MicroSD card up to 32GB. It sports a 5MP rear camera with auto & touch focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, panorama and face detection features while the secondary front camera is a standard VGA type. The camera is capable of taking videos as well though not of the 1080p high definition type. The battery life is a decent 2100mah and the phone includes almost all of the standard connectivity features like Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, MicroUsb 2.0 and GPS. A notable feature of this phone is that it offers dual sim (micro-sim) standby option with both 2G and 3G GSM connectivity as well.
Design and Quality
Although the screen isn’t one of the largest in recent times but it achieves a high body to screen ratio of 67.8% which makes for smaller bezels on the sides in turn improving its design. The phone body is made of plastic but it doesn’t feel cheap but rather sturdy and capable of a few bumps even though the phone is 9.5mm slim as well as just 127g in weight. The LG L70 features four capacitive buttons at the bottom instead of the three with the fourth designated to switching between sims. Unfortunately the buttons are not lit by LEDs making low light navigating very troublesome. The top and bottom areas of the phone are very nicely curved which gives it a very nice ergonomic grip. The back of the phone has a LG logo in the middle and dual chip logo near the bottom while the top part is home to the camera and flash. The 3.5mm audio jack is placed at the top while the MicroUsb charging port is located at the bottom and the power & volume rocker keys are found at the right and left of the phone respectively.
OS and Tech
The LG L70 comes with the popular Android OS v4.4.2 KitKat installed. This version of Android is more than capable of running smoothly by utilizing the phone's dual cores and Snapdragon chipset. Using Play Store the phone can make use of the countless Android apps and games available for download. The LG L70 however doesn't use stock Android OS UI but instead relies on its own LG UI v3.0 which includes nifty features such as Qslide and Quick memo making the phone more user friendly.
Camera and Multimedia
The rear camera is 5MP and manages images of up to 2592 х 1944 pixels while videos have a maximum of 800 x 480 pixels resolution. The image quality is decent and doesn't lag behind most 5MP camera phones but video quality could have been better. The LG L70 is not a multimedia phone as evident by its sub-par loud speakers and underwhelming headphone audio output quality. Video playback is good enough but relegated only to the following formats i.e. XviD, MP4, H.264 and H.263 while the FM Radio works smoothly.
Battery and Memory
With a battery capacity of 2100mah the phone promises a very high battery life except where talk time, just 4 hrs and 40mins, is concerned but promises a standby of 370 hours. Normal usage can see the battery sustaining the phone easily throughout the day although 3G connectivity might shorten that time span. At 1GB of RAM the phone doesn't have much to offer to the heavy duty user but where normal multitasking is concerned it can handle that with ease.

Verdict
LG has targeted the low range Smartphone market populated by the likes of Lava Iris X5 and Nokia Lumia 535. The decent battery life coupled with the easy to use LG UI v3.0 and Android OS makes this a worthy contender. A solid build quality with slim bezels and curved edged design ensures the phone looks good despite the low price tag. Unfortunately it is let down with its low-par multimedia capabilities which will alienate the media heavy users from this device. However where normal social media usage is a factor then this phone has a decent image quality camera and the specs to ensure a great experience.
