The camera performance is fantastic; the phone provides 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. This smart phone accommodates 2 SIMs along with multiple connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and the power for this comes from Android 4.2 Jelly Beans which is again an older version of Android but Xolo relies on it.

Design and Quality

The design of Xolo Q1010i is very much similar to the previous version of Xolo brand Q1010 and it is hard to find any difference in design of both. The build quality of the phone is good having a metallic frame for the rear camera highlighting its beauty a bit more. The complete phone has metallic frame along with plastic. The quality of plastic used for this phone is outstanding and makes it exclusive from of the phone of plastic build in the market. The front of the phone has scratch resistance glass. The bigger screen has full HD colors but it doesn’t support good view in sunlight. The Dual SIM cards slots are located under the back cover on left side and the microSD card slot is located at same place towards right. Thus, making extra space on sides over the cover for other functionalities.

OS and Tech

Android v4.2 is powerful enough to make this phone and ideal for multitasking and normal day to day routine tasks. It also offers smooth and efficient performance of the phone under low price range. OS is perfectly integrated to even smoothly run heavy games on it which it does in a much irrational manner. Overall the performance of OS for this phone is awesome and there is no performance lags observed by now.

Camera and Multimedia

The most fantastic aspect of this phone is it’s up gradation to 8MP camera with Sony Exmor sensor. Sony has really integrated a real blend of camera feature in this set and shows the tremendous amount of hard work on part of Sony. The camera here is too fast and actively responsive and the results generated are really impressive. It gives excellent picture in full light, outdoors pictures are stunning while there is some problem with pictures under dim light or indoor. There are some extra camera features provided with its camera contrast to other phones of similar specifications. It allows the user to play with pictures and generate different styles along with giving it more saturation. It also records video of better quality in full brightness.

Battery and Memory

It has a battery of 2250mAh which is quite a good battery life and is able to last for a day. The battery is fixed and cannot be replaceable. But if one uses two SIMs then the battery life may drop little early. The phone is packed with battery saver applications allowing user to use the phone for longer duration by turning off unused services. The internal storage in the set is 8GB which is not bad and this is extendible to 32GB through microSD card slot available. Out of 8GB, 2GB is used by OS and 2GB for apps rest of the 4GB is for the internal storage. This much memory is fair enough to load heavy stuff in the device.

Verdict

Xolo Q1010i is a handsome set for reasonable price. Though there are performance lags observed in the set but it does give a good competition to different good brands of similar features and specifications. It doesn’t prove a burden being big at screen as the design is too slim and light. Improvements need to be made in the construction department rest it is a decent set.
