Micromax Canvas Entice A105 Mobile Price in India
Ever since the initiation of the company back in the year 2000, Micromax has made tremendous progress from being an IT software company dealing with embedded systems to India’s top local consumer electronics company. By the end of Q3 2014, the brand has become the 10th largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Micromax is actively launching products keeping in mind, the needs and the price for the consumers. The Canvas Entice is yet another launch to solidify and further the claim of the company in the middle range segment.
Features and Specifications
The Canvas Entice is a Dual-SIM smartphone and has a screen size of 5 inches. The WVGA capacitive touchscreen on-board supports a resolution of 16M colors and multi-touch. OS used in the handset is Android V4.4.2 Kitkat which makes the overall experience all the more intuitive. Processor powering the handset is a 1.2 GHz Broadcom Quad Core chipset. The Entice has a 512MB of RAM along with 4GB of internal memory. The memory can be further expanded with the help of a Micro-SD card up to 32GB. The back houses a 5MP rear camera with an LED Flash while there is a secondary VGA camera for video calling and immersing in popular IM these days. The device has a Li-Ion 1900 mAh battery. Micromax takes care of all the connectivity needs with features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and micro-USB to make sure you are properly connected.
Design and Quality
The Canvas Entice is, to be frank- a tad little unimpressive. It has a typical Micromax feel to it and is quite bulky. The Metallic back panel, though gives an attractive charm to the handset and the device in itself is pretty solid. It has dual microphone for noise cancellation and the power buttons and volume control are present in the left and right side respectively. The headphone jack is at the top along with the micro-USB port.
OS and Tech
The Canvas Entice is packed with the relatively new and powerful OS i.e. Android V 4.4 Kitkat which, considering the specifications of the phone is perfect. The OS guarantees smooth performance and fast multi-tasking, while at the same time offering a whole arsenal of capabilities to the smartphone.
Camera and Multimedia
The smartphone has a 5MP AF rear camera with an LED flash. The camera is pretty good and the autofocus works like a charm, and is quite sharp. The color reproduction is impressive and the snaps are detailed and accurate. The rear camera is capable of recording in 720p HD format as well. The front camera, despite being a VGA camera is actually quite good, and can be well utilized in video calls and the occasional selfies. The screen has decent viewing angles and better color reproduction makes watching movies all the more fun. Sound quality too, is loud and crystal which sets the device with a good multimedia experience to offer.
Battery and Memory
Providing the much needed juice to the smartphone is a Li-Ion 1900mAh battery that gives a less than decent battery life. The battery life is pretty average and drops fast, even when moderately used. 512 MB of RAM provided along with the 4GB internal memory of the smartphone is adequate enough for handling apps and games and for a snappy performance. The Broadcom Chipset and GPU handle multi-tasking and games fairly well. For consumers looking for more storage, the device supports external Micro-SD cardup to 32GB.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
· Better Screen and Camera
· Snappy Quad Core processor
· Intuitive connectivity options
Cons:
· Poor battery life
· Quite Bulky
Verdict:
The Canvas Entice from Micromax is, indeed agood option for consumers looking for a budget smartphone with decent features. The device offers some high end features while there is nothing much that goes against it. But the smartphone may face serious competition from Samsung Star Duos 2 and even the Micromax Unite 2 which offer better features at almost similar pricing.
