Spice recently launched their new low end phone. The phone is well targeted to low budget customers. The phone has got eye catching features with attractive pricing. Spice is known for their low end phones. The company once again proved this by launching a new feature heavy phone. Stellar 509 has some great offerings. After successful launch of Android devices the company once again launched a new device to meet to user expectations. But is it has such offerings that can lure us? Features and Specifications

The device is a 5 inch capacitive touchscreen display. It comes only in white colour variant. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The processor and RAM are much powerful to handle and manage all your tasks easily. Coming to the battery, phone comes with a 2000 mAh battery that can keep your phone powered on for longer duration. In terms of camera, phone is having an 8MP rear shooter with flash and a 2MP front shooter for capturing your selfie. Coming to storage, phone is having on board storage of 4 GB that keep your documents and photos stored well in a place. The phone has all wireless capabilities including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. So, feature wise phone is impressive.

Design and Quality

Spice Stellar 509 is 5 inch capacitive touchscreen display. The phone is very well built. The viewing angles are great for the phone. In terms of design it is a flat cornered device the edges are flat and not rounded but they looks great. The metallic brushing is used around the edges of device to keep it safe from accidently falls. On front phone is having a 2MP front camera with earpiece. The phone also has 3 touch buttons for back, home and multitasking. On back of device is 8MP shooter with flash and branding of Spice in the centre. There is a loudspeaker at the bottom of it. Overall phone is very nicely built with smart use of plastic and metallic brushing.

OS and Tech

Phone OS is a customised OS of Spice based on Android 4.2 Jelly bean. The OS of phone is pretty responsive and fast. It manages to do all your tasks easily. The OS is coupled with 1.3 GHz quad-core processor to improve its performance. Overall the phone is very fast and responsive.

Camera and Multimedia

The phone has two cameras. An 8MP rear shooter with flash and a 2MP front facing camera. The rear camera is able to take all your shots with single tap. It has features like touch focus and autofocus to make it responsive. However, we are bit disappointed with front camera that is only 2MP and it struggled at times. In terms of multimedia, phone supports all audio and video formats by installing 3^rd party applications from play store.

Battery and Memory

The phone is having a 2000 mAh battery that can keep your phone powered on. But you need to charge it every evening. We feel that battery is a bit low for 5 inch device. But still it gave satisfactory results. In terms of Memory phone is having a 4 GB on board storage that is expandable by addition of micro SD card up to 32 GB. So has great memory space.

Spice Stellar is very good device. It has some great features. We are satisfied by the performance. It is very aggressively priced but it is also feature heavy on the same time. So it will prove great competitor to Spice Dream Uno and Spice Stellar 520. Due to its low budget and high end features we will recommend the phone to low end users.
