Karbonn A12 Star Mobile Price List in India

Karbonn is an Indian based smartphone company developing good quality smartphone. The company has launched its new smartphone by the name A12 Star which is an entry level phone having mediocre features and specifications. The look and feel of the set is good. The specification of the phone is almost similar to that of A11 Star from the company. The price range is very low which is a good point about the set. But since it is an entry level phone so there is not much expectations about its performance and it is considered as not very good though not bad either.

Features and Specifications

The phone has 4-inch large LCD screen. The plus point about the phone is that even being a mediocre phone, the OS provided to it is Android v4.4.2 KitKat which is quite a latest phone. The processor giving power to the phone is of 1.2GHz dual-core with 512MB RAM. The RAM is though very much less and it may prove hindrance in the phone performance. The internal built-in storage is also less of 4GB but this can be further extended up to 32GB. The back camera is 5MP with LED flash and the front camera is 0.3MP used for video calls. The battery of the phone is 1400mAh with the connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, and microUSB. The weight is too less weighing 130g. The features of the phone very much good enough for the price set for the set.

Design and Quality

The design of the phone is very appealing. The front of the phone is white with 4inch screen. There is silver lining all around the four sides and the edges are beautifully curved. The speaker is found at the top of the screen along with the front facing camera while the rear camera is found at the back with LED flash and the company logo below it. At the bottom of the screen, there are two navigation keys along with a button in the center giving four directional movements into the apps.

OS and Tech

The OS is very much latest which is android v4.4.2 KitKat and it is efficient in providing good amount of multitasking. But there is no proper support to this latest OS from the RAM as RAM is very limited which is 512MB and the processor is also not very powerful so at times there are performance laps observed while handling this device.

Camera and Multimedia

The back camera is of 5MP along with LCD but since the phone is entry level so the performance of the camera is similar to its phone. The daylight photography is even not of good quality but it works. This phone is good for the people who are not used to using the phone for photography as the camera is a complete failure here. The camera though is capable of recording videos but the issues remain there with the videos as well. The front camera is used for video calls but it is equally of poor quality.

Battery and Memory

The 1400mAh battery is provided to the phone. The company claims that this much battery can provide 300hrs of standby time. This claim is yet to be testified but under moderate use of the phone, the battery is capable enough to stand for about half day and on standby mode it can last for whole day. The smaller the battery will be, the more quickly it will get recharged and this much battery gets fully charged within an hour. The RAM is very less and needs an upgrade. The internal storage is adequate with an extension. Keeping in view the other specifications of the set, this much internal storage is quite justified.

Karbonn A12 Star has a wonderful design and is a very stylish phone. It has all the required ingredients present in it in terms of specifications and features. The display of the phone is very good making it ideal for the multimedia lovers. The camera is here but it is mediocre one and does its job for what it has been designed. Rest of the features of the phone is very entry level and an upgrade is expected which obviously will not come without price increase. But under very low price range, this phone is considered an average phone and with little more addition in the price, one can purchase a much better phone with better features, specifications and performance. The overall rating of the phone is not very good and people prefer to invest in a phone which good give a good performance and a durable life.
