Features and Specifications

Phone comes with a large screen of 5-inch which is a real cinema house powered by 1.3GHz dual core processor, It has 512MB RAM and internal storage of 4GB which is extendible up to 32 GB through micro SD card slot. It has 5MP rear camera and a battery life of 1800mAh which is quite good for long time use. All these features except the display screen are quite mediocre. It gives good performance without lagging as specified by the Media Tek dual core standards.

OS and Tech

The key feature of the Micromax Bolt A069 is its OS which is Android v4.4 KitKat. Using such a power OS means it can easily support all Android apps along with powerful software it supports but since the hardware support is not strong enough which makes it not a perfect choice for heavy mobile lovers. Since it is an entry level smartphone, so it has basic features and functionalities like all other mobiles of similar caliber have. But it cannot be a best choice. It comes with multiple efficient technology features like 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth but it doesn’t support 3G.

Display and Quality

It offers a large screen of 5-inch having a resolution of 854x480pixels. Though the screen resolution is high but Micromax is failed to incorporate qHD resolution and it feels lagging behind in sharpness when it is compared with its competitors. The back of the phone has matte finish covering majority of the phone. Build quality of the phone is good. Power button of the phone is placed on its left, volume rockers are provided at its right and a 3.5mm audio jack along with micro USB port is placed at the top. This smartphone is heavy weighing 172g and 9.90mm thickness. Though the touch of the phone is good but the viewing angles are not that good. Camera is supported with LED flash along with accelerometer, proximity and light sensors.

Camera and Multimedia

Micromax Bolt A069 has 5MP rear camera which is auto focus along with LED flash light. It also has a minor VGA front camera. The quality of the camera is not much good. It can record up to 720p videos but the quality of video is not that impressive. Micromax need to concentrate more on camera features. Day light picture shows comparatively better results than night time pictures.

Battery and Memory

The set is loaded with 512MB RAM along with 4GB internal storage which is extendable up to 32GB by providing microSD card slot. 290Mb of RAM is freely available on first boot. There is 1.5GB of internal storage and 1.27GB space is utilized by the apps. Apps can also be installed don external storage but the OTG is not supported by it. The battery life is also mediocre giving 1800mAh battery. Though the battery is not that good but it still works fine for not much heavy use. One can easily play a game on it but intensive use may drop its battery life.

Micromax Bolt A069 is a good phone having initial level specifications. Micromax is known for priced devices but it should justify the price with device performance and quality features but unfortunately this time it has not been observed. Android lovers may like this phone but the mediocre specifications may force them to move towards other phones of similar price but better features and performance. So this may not be a good buy for this price. Along with this phone doesn’t support 3G so if anyone has to buy this phone, will only have to rely on 2G though it is dual SIM and auto focus camera but still it is not an intelligent investment.
