Panasonic P61 Mobile Price in India
Panasonic is one of the mobile phone companies who launched most of the mobile phones this year. The most premium design and the dual SIM set Panasonic P61 is one of them. This is one of the thrilling set that Panasonic ever released as it supports all GSM based networks. It comes with 6 inches large screen which is another peculiar attraction for those who love big phones. The price is moderate for the moderate specifications.
Features and Specifications
This Dual SIM phone is powered by 1.3GHz Quad-core processor with a large 6-inch IPS screen along with good resolution of 1280x720. It has 1GB RAM which seems less and this may bring some performance lags. It has 8GB of internal memory which can further be extended also up to 32GB by using microSD card slot. The phone comes with two cameras, an 8MP rear camera along with an LED flash which gives video capturing of 1080p and a 2MP front camera for video chats. The battery life is 2800 mAh which is much better as compared to other competitors. The phone runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS. It offers quite a large range of connectivity features like 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi along with GPS. It comes in two colors, the black and pearl white along with a screen guard.
Design and Quality
The weight of the phone is 174g which makes it heavy. Having 6-inch screen makes this phone among the largest phones in the market. Due to larger screen size, this phone is also qualified to be called as phablet. As large size also brings problems along, so this phone may be problem for some people to be used by single hand. The body of the phone is metallic. The back cover is also metallic and offers a new feature known as Glide Play which allows user to open apps in window-on screen mode and glide them when moving from screen to screen. The design of the phone is simple and stylish with the back having smooth finish but it doesn’t provide perfect grip due to plastic strips above and below. The metallic back is not removable. The plastic strip at the lower back can be removed to expose slots for SIM cards. All the buttons are placed towards the left. The glass screen is scratch resistant along with it comes with a screen guard.
OS and Tech
The OS provided here is Android v4.4.2 KitKat which is quite advance enough to run heavy games on the 6inch large screen along with movies in full HD. The support of 1.3GHz processor is fair enough for the OS but at times due to limitation in RAM capacity, the colors of the games and videos have shown little trouble.
Camera and Multimedia
The rear 8MP camera performance is not very impressive. The captured image though shows quite a large amount of details but the pictures gets little smudgy at the edges. The camera software has some latest technologies embedded in it like autofocus, face detection along with image viewing features. The LED light has been provided to get good quality pictures in low light but it doesn’t help that much. Even in proper light, the performance of the camera is not up to the mark. The front 2MP camera is good for video chats and has not be compliant any problem by now.
Battery and Memory
A good 2800 mAh Li-Ion battery has been provided to Panasonic P61 to boost the day long use of it. The battery life is fair enough to handle normal day long activities. This much battery is quite enough to handle the large screen along with moderate apps. The internal storage capacity provided here is in base set is 8GB which can be further enhanced to 32GB though microSD card slot. This much memory is enough to hold maximum of Android apps in internal storage.
Pros and Cons
For pros:
· Strong metallic and sleek body
· Extra Large screen
· Good battery life
· Easy handling
For cons:
· Expensive
· Less RAM
· Poor camera performance
Verdict
Panasonic P61 is the larger sized phablet and brings good performance along having good features and specifications. The build quality is very impressive and the design is too stylish. The metallic body makes it strong to bear hard blows. Though the camera performance is not very good and video recording supported by the rear camera doesn’t give high quality standard. The price set for this phone is little expensive as the same mediocre features have been provided in many other phones with affordable prices. Panasonic has to thing on these grounds as well.
