Celkon Campus A43 Mobile Price in India
I am sure quite a few of our readers might not have heard of Celkon before. Celkon is an Indian smart phone manufacturer based in Hyderabad. It is the sixth largest mobile device company in India. While it is great to see so many domestic mobile companies pop up in the country, how well they do in the long run is something only time can tell. Let us see what this device has to offer.
Features & Specifications:
The Celkon Campus A43 is a Dual SIM GSM device with a 4 inch IPS LCD touchscreen which has a capability of displaying 16M colors. The processor is dual core and runs at 1.3GHz. The phone has Java support via the Java MIDP emulator and has an HTML browser. For connectivity the phone has Bluetooth, GPS, and USB support. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot capability is available too.
Design and Quality:
The device has a 4 inch display with an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen (16M colors). The IPS LCD screen makes sure that the picture quality is not affected if you view it from wider angles. The resolution is 480x800 pixels and the pixel density is 233ppi. Multi touch is supported. The dimensions are 124 x 63 x 8.5 mm. The phone is quite slim and easy to carry. There are buttons on the side for volume and power. The phone is available in three colors: blue, black and gray. The phone has a good design and is easy on the eye.
OS and Tech:
The Operating System is Android version 4.2 (Jelly Bean) which is quite out dated now. The CPU is dual core and runs at 1.3GHz. The RAM is 1GB. All this put together makes the phone well equipped to handle medium amount of multi-tasking. Please note that the phone does not come with a graphics processing unit and hence the phone should not be your first choice if you love playing games on your mobile. The phone might work for you if you do not care about the outdated Android system.
Camera and Multimedia:
The device sports a 5 MP primary camera which comes with a Flash and geo-tagging facility. The secondary camera is 1.3 Mega Pixel which is not bad for a phone in this price range. The picture quality is not that great but video calling can be carried out. The video formats supported are 3GP, MP4, AVI and H.264 whereas the audio formats supported are WAV, AAC, AMR, MP3 and MIDI.
Battery and Memory:
The phone has a 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery. This could have been better since a battery as low as 1400mAh would mean you would constantly have to keep your charger with you at all times. The memory card slot is microSD which is expandable up to 32GB. The phone has an internal memory of 4GB and a 1 GB RAM. 1GB of RAM is quite decent for a phone of this price. Multi-tasking will be quite smooth.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
· 1GB RAM (quite decent for a low price phone)
· Good design
Cons:
· Out dated OS (Jelly Bean)
· Low battery
· No GPU
Verdict:
This phone might suit your needs if you are not constantly texting or talking on the phone. The reason why we say so is the low battery capacity. You could go ahead with it if you want a 1GB RAM phone in a low price. The screen size is quite small and there is no GPU which makes the phone unsuitable for people who want to use their phone for watching tons of videos or playing games. Other phones with similar specifications are the Celkon Q44 and Panasonic T40.
