Nokia Lumia 930 Mobile Price in India
It is a Windows 8.1 smartphone having larger screen of 5-inch and is commonly known as Lumia Icon in U.S. This is the first handset in market after Microsoft has purchased the Nokia’s mobile division. This is quite a capable phone competing HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2 and Samsung Galaxy S5. Windows 8.1 is the latest OS from Microsoft which is slowly getting improved from time to time. Being a Windows smartphone, Nokia Lumia 930 still competes with best Android smartphones in market. Windows OS is capable enough to provide better customization to user as per his needs.
Features and Specifications
The main features of Nokia Lumia 930 include; Snapdragon 800 processor, 5inch-1080p screen, 20MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera. Battery has been improved by Microsoft in Nokia Lumia 930 and provides 2420mAh battery life. The SIM it supports is of nano sized. It is a bit heavy phone of 167g and comes with 2GB RAM which is enough to support maximum apps. The internal storage is 32GB which cannot be further extended but provides free cloud space of 15GB.
Design and Quality
The build quality of this smartphone is very good and impressive. The rear panel is fixed making battery non-replaceable. It gives soft touch feel and a best quality design. It has metallic design along with polycarbonate matte back coming in bright colors like orange and green. It has square body with square edges and looks better than the curved edges of HTC One M8. Due to its heavy weight, it is less comfortable to hold this phone. The headphone jack can be found at the top, the micro USB charging port is towards the bottom while the volume rocker is located at the right side besides power and camera button. The nanoSIM card slot is besides the headphone jack. The screen is quite larger of 5-inch with full HD AMOLED display giving 441ppi.
OS and Tech
The OS supported by Nokia Lumia 930 is the latest release of Windows. Windows 8.1 actually competes best with Android by providing some built-in features and apps; strongly comparable to Android smartphones even though Microsoft is still lagging in few areas in comparison to Android. It does support all latest technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3G as well as 4G. Cloud support is the best advantage Windows 8.1 can incorporate in a smartphone which can hardly be seen in other smartphone.
Camera and Multimedia
Nokia has been striving hard for quite long to excel in camera technology and this time it has actually done so by introducing PureView camera technology. This technology was first used by Nokia in Nokia 808 and is also available in Nokia Lumia 930. It has 20MP rear camera along with dual LED flash. It also introduces the optical image stabilization technology in order to reduce the blur and shakiness. This technology is even visible in full HD video recording while the front 1.2MP camera is capable of shooting at maximum of 720p HD videos, acceptable for video conferencing and Skype chats.
Battery and Memory
Heavy smartphone users are really disappointed by the battery life being provided in Nokia Lumia 930. There is no need to invest in such a huge phone having mediocre battery life of 2420mAh all enclosed in metal and polycarbonate body. The battery cannot be removed but it does support QI wireless charging standard. Even a minor use of the phone makes major drop off of the battery like few songs, browsing internet, downloading few apps etc. It is enough to provide a whole day battery life under this much use but it needs to be then recharged daily. Much of the battery life eater can be linked to big screen and the PureView feature of camera. Phone also offer Battery Saver Application allowing to see only running apps while disabling the ones eating most of the power. The memory life is quite enough to support majority of the apps even the heavy one. It offers 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage though it doesn’t provide any extendable memory support.
Pros and Cons
For pros:
· Full HD 5-inch display
· Good metallic design
· Strong camera technology and excellent camera performance
For cons:
· Interface still has issue
· Processor is somehow older
· Apps needs improvement
· Battery life not good
Verdict
Nokia Lumia 930 is a complete Windows phone. It is the first Windows phone that gives a good competition to Android smartphones. It has an impressive design and decent specifications. Microsoft should try to make it a longer lasting phone with enhanced features especially the battery life and the size should be sleeker, weight must be reduced. Rest, it pays back well for the price it offers.
